I love Lawrence, I got to hear them open for Jacob Collier over the summer, and I was immediately hooked! They actually debuted “Im confident I’m insecure” at that concert! They didn’t feel like they were opening for Jacob, it honestly felt like a shorter concert! The energy they brought to the venue was insane, and I loved how they got the audience involved so much, too! Since then I’ve loved their music more and more, and I always love to see more people who love it, too!

Playing bass clarinet in a band at a local market I arrived early and the sound system was playing dub reggae. I set up and played along thinking "how on earth did they miss this?" Of course there is Shabaka Hutchings!

I've been doing this too for quite some time. Mostly just Lo-Fi stuff which is great for me because its super basic and I think the sound of the bass clarinet fits the vibe super well.

I've had the Yamaha Eb bass clarinet your reviewed (and yes the register key is a bitch) for a few years now and i was hoping to get a low C Kessler bass clarinet and your shop in the city just seems like the best place to get one.

This is incredible. Bass Clarinet has just a nice timbre. But this piece in particular highlights why the bass clarinet was out-staged in modern music by its fraternal twin brother the tenor saxophone. The sax has such a more piercing, powerful tone. Without enhancements and amplifications, the delicious tones of the BC are barely audible.

I don’t know. There are times when the BC doubles the bass. And I don’t think it’s MEANT to stand out. It blends, especially in its lower register, which just reinforces the groove of the bass line. Furthermore, tenor saxophones are being miked as well. Your preference is just that: your preference. At this site though, you’d likely be in the minority.
