Part 2: we will be exploring the dynamics of Rod/Stroke ratio. Pistons and Piston Rings
Its important to note I am not a crankshaft specialist and my simple goal is to help the general car enthusiast understand the main components involved and there purpose, so when working with a crank I would encourage anyone to take it to there local engine/machine shop where they have the specialist equipment to accurately perform any machining or balancing necessary.

stopped watching when you said H beams are stronger than I, Ironically you're holding a manley rod and manley make a turbo tuff series of I beam rods and twice the price of their H beam rods and ridiculously strong.

Then I don't think you heard correctly. I stated "its reported" then gave my personal account. The rods your referring to from manley are basicly of billet design with advanced metallurgy, so they would be very strong. However in reference to design strength, there are many who suggest the H pattern to be stronger. But if you were real fancy then the "X" pattern are stronger and lighter than them both.

Dom A He is right. H beam are very high torque lower rpm rods. I beam are high rpm lower torque rods.

Dom A You really have to do your own research for whatever you're building but I also thought I beams were better but so many builds I've seen use H beam. Both are good regardless but it's really up to you. When it comes to really maxing out individual parts then that's when you'll need to know what will handle that max power goal but overall it doesn't really matter

@@HerrKuhn928 cheaper to manufacture than I beam? Are you feeling ok? I beams can be forge stamped once I to shape, H beams are vastly more intricately designed.
