True! My uncle was working all day and going to a night class to learn English. He was on his way home in Chinatown & suddenly two gang members accosted him with a gun to his head. They were looking to kill a rival gang member. Thankfully they didn't kill him on the spot. He explained he wasn't in a rival gang and they were mistaken. After showing them his ID, they let him go. This was in the early 90s.

Bring back many many stories back then . I was fortunate staying alive while all shits happening during my teenage years growing up in Chinatown. Saw many bloods and tears from friends and families members who lost theirs child. Never talk about to my parents and my children today. All these happened some I knew are my street friends. Some are innocent and some want a name for himself. History past will stay with this generation . The next generation couldn’t careless. Just give me my iPhone 20. Everything is right there.

In my opinion, the recent xenophobic attacks on Asians in NYC wouldn’t have occurred in Chinatown & Koreatown if it were back in the day. Though they dealt in nefarious activities, they could not watch non-Asians beating innocent Asians. Unfortunately, just like the Italian Mafia; the era of the discernible Gangster has passed.

I'm from the 80s and I will say that there were things much deeper. War was heavy especially in Queens when the Jamaican Posse went to take over every territory in all of America. It was all in the news. Things calmed down once the Posse were destroyed. In the 90s Things continued with the street gangs, but not as heavy as the 80s. Crazy times then.

Sorry man, not true. He never flipped. If he had he wouldn't be doing life. Also, he could have walked free if he had chosen to rat on Paul Lai and others. A lot of stuff on this documentary are half truths. The real rats are doing the talking here in this video. Ask yourselves this, why the main person in this video doing all the talking didn't do much time, or no time at all during and after the roundups. If he had flipped he wouldn't be doing life sitting in jail for almost 27 years until compassionate release. Get your facts straight man.
