I would have the plan to bring a tournament to life tht features both current world champions, runner- ups and major winners as well as the old ones. One against one, first to four legs, all of the emn, women and youth of both PDC and BDO, then rotating. 2 points for winning, one point for a draw (with a time limit it is possible) and 0 for a loss. Then at the end we will see the winner.

Whats happened is there has been a void in darts since phil taylor left and the players know it as well as the crowd. Probably why MVG has gone off the boil because he has no player to fire him up like phil did. Phil should just enter the majors like ronnie o sullivan did in snooker.

Have to say, and never thought I would, but the darts schedule has gotten way too much in the last 5-6 years. As a fan, I absolutely love to watch darts. But there comes a time when it's just not as special anymore, when there is at least one televised/online tourney every month it just devalues the occasion. Awsel as that, I'm sure a lot of the players would welcome the idea of more frequent, longer breaks in the calendar. It's just gotten a bit out of hand in that regard, in my opinion.

Snookers different, less players, less youngsters coming through, less matches, and the old school can still give a good account of themselves. Taylor`s the only one who would`nt get thrashed, as he`s still active in the game. Wrong to offer wildcards for the Worlds, when players are touring their ass off to get up the rankings. It might work say in the Grand Slam, to have an `old` group, where two of them would go through to knockout stage.
