Not the performance he wouldve wanted with low 90s, but certainly back in the right frame of mind to get back to his best. Gerwyn was best when he was the pantomime villain, he needs that adrenaline and aggression to performance at his best

The difference between the two Lukes and all of the others, is the consistency. On their day, anyone can beat anyone at the top, the difference being the 'worst' Lukes are miles better than the worst of everyone else. Overall the standards just keep going up

First off I am English not Welsh so this has nothing to do with views of a countryman. I am not a gerwyn fan, but I think he has had some problems in the last year. I found myself rooting for him in his match because someone who has lost confidence and is a great player is a shame. I hope he does well reaching his own high standards is going to be a tough ask given how he has played in the last year
