This game is amazing, the fact that you can do everything from the start of the game, and the fact that the manual that you collect, is an actual user's manual that was hand-drawn, with concept art, and it's what gives you instructions on the game

I love it when a game slowly reveals mechanics that makes you look at the world in a completely different light. I love this game and it was for sure my GOTY for 2022. I hope whatever project the developers do next has this much depth. Also, awesome edit Light. Was great to watch!

Some days I wish I could go back and replay this game for the first time, realizing everything as you slowly collect all the pages. The moment you SEE the lines and how it all connects and how everything comes together. How you figure everything out and then you learn how to READ, and hear what everyone has to say. Oh, to replay this game for the very first time and have the most beautiful yet challenging lightbulb moment of my damn life... How even after you beat it, invokes a feeling no other game has gotten close to as Tunic has for me. Oh... to go back, and replay this game for the very first time... There's an analogy somewhere about childhood nostalgia; how this game, makes me yearn for another first time experience.

Tunic is THE GAME that I wish i could reexperience. I used to think something like Halo, Mass Effect, or Dead Space would be my "for the first time again" pick, but Tunic's puzzels and world exploration just created this perfect experience. Especially enhanced by my wife sitting next to me and figuring out everything. Unfortunately, i will never get to experience it for the first time again. And it honestly makes me sad.

Love to see that Ray enjoyed this game. This is my GOAT game since I played it. Figuring out all the puzzles on my own (so much trial and error) and the language with help from a few friends was a blast. It's not a perfect game but it scratches that exploratory itch and sense of achievement from figuring out the puzzles that I haven't found in a long time and would highly recommend to people who like to wander off the beaten path in video games.

This game deserved like 6 game awards and got 0. Honestly should have been in the running for Game of the Year. Didn't even beat Stray for Indie Game, somehow. Honestly it feels like people just vote for whichever game they know, so Indie Game of the Year goes to whichever game was most marketed and therefor whichever least exemplifies Indie as a genre. I enjoyed Stray, but every other nominee was far better.

This game was one of my favorites of 2022. I absolutely adored how this game combined the vague, but fair, puzzle delivery of FEZ while combining it with the exploration style of A Link to the Past. Edit: It is worth saying that the “DoYouFearTheDistantShore” is a puzzle that was meant to be an absurdly difficult and vague puzzle since it doesn’t really contribute to the game at all. It’s kind of like the easter egg puzzle in FEZ. You had to take a binary sequence from lights, convert it to ASCII, and then to a button sequence.

Well, it's too bad you didn't break out the note paper and make a serious effort to solve some of those end-game puzzles yourself. I think Tunic does a better job than any other game out there at making almost anyone want to get into that stuff. But hey, if it's not for you, it's not for you, and I'm really glad you were able to appreciate the genius design and get your mind blown even just looking up how you were supposed to do it.
