How much horsepower can we squeeze out of this B9 A4?

Just not worth it imo, but y’all are first company I seen to push stage 3 on these b9a4’s, great job! I feel like I hit a brick wall with this car, I’m thinking about selling it. Too much money to be sitting around low 300whp. I’ll maybe be happy at 4. Anyways keep at it guys, gonna have a lot of buyers when you figure it out.

The B9 community is chomping for a hybrid turbo, but I am going to be honest, 317 is not a huge gain over stage 2 which is close to 300whp. These hybrids appear to need ethanol.

Our dyno reads 30hp less than a roller dyno. The TTE did really well compared to our own development A4 which is running a Hybrid IS20 from Perun Turbo. These motors definitely lack something compared to their EA888.3 cousin.

@@tune_zilla thanks for the quick reply. That’s interesting since these are a mk7 golf r longblock with an is20. Too bad you guys didn’t get the delta from stock or stage 1/2. What does a canned tune stage 2 mk7 gti typically get on your dyno? Edit: there are known torque limiters on this DSG, so I wonder if this vehicle had a TCU tune?

@@bdez1259 Hey Brock, on our website, we do have stock and Stage 1 and 2 dyno graphs which were made with the same hub dyno. So we can only assume the stock power output on this car would have been fairly similar to our own B9 A4 dev car at 218whp/246ftlb - if you watch the video you’ll see that we did get more out of this TTE turbo than we were able to get out of our Perun Turbo IS20 hybrid. The biggest hurdle, as you mentioned is what to do with the injectors as they are running pretty much at their max and outfitting upgraded injectors would probably be cost prohibitive to most people in this platform. Not that it can’t be done, just that we probably won’t go much further with this platform unless there was a huge demand. The small differences on these CYMC/CYRB engines makes them more involved to achieve bigger numbers like the Golf R or S3.

My b8.5 on k04 makes almost as much power on pump. Hopefully we can see the numbers go from 317 to 417 on the stage 3 b9

For the dsg tune, what clamping pressure are you at to hold all all that torque? That is close to 600nm!

Thank you. We try to make our base maps smooth and drivable. It's not always easy with customers turbo choices, but we aim for something flat and consistent to start and then we'll work with our customers to tweak their maps and get them a tune that fits their needs. :)

Nice work there. Could we assume that European spec cars with 8 injector (4 conventional and 4 fsi) would be able to pish and sustain more power?

Theoretically, yes. Unfortunately, the North American versions don't come with MPI and we don't have a solution to add MPI to the NA ECU's.

What version of the 2.0 is this the numbers seem very low. For instance I make 314hp and 395 ftlb on a stage 1 93 tune I have the 252hp engine

Right, I have a stage 2 Ecu and stage 1 TCU with IE and my gauges read that I’m pushing like 500 TQ and I know it’s definitely more than 317 Hp. This video has me so confused. 😂

OBDeleven module makes it easy, it took me a total time of 10 minutes and I have the RS gauges

Curious to see how much TTE440 has left in the tank with more fuel. Are you in the 22-23psi range with it now?

Yes. Somewhere in that range. 2800 millibar - Would be cool to see someone try the MPI from a european model.

Best way to test performance is with something like a dragy. Wonder what it will trap in the 1/4.

I literally make this on a race chip with a cold air intake and stock turbo where are these numbers from 😂

That's really impressive for a stock turbo. We use a Dynapack hub-dyno for all of our dyno testing.

They are OEM, can be purchased from the dealer.
