You’re about the only person I’ve found on KZbin that makes this many videos about the z1000 I really appreciate your content. I just got an 04 z1000 33k miles. Also a dyno commander v3. I have each low mid and high turned all the way up. It’s been a blast. I’m thinking it will needs some plugs soon given how it’s sounds at idle. Maybe it’s the commander tho? I hope I’m not damaging the pistons. I have no idea what type of map is on the commander. The last owner didn’t know much about the bike. Plus I’m having some terrible clutch engagement now no matter how I adjust the cable at the lever or at the major clutch adjustment. Hope it’s not the basket or loose bolts. Winter is coming I need this ride until I get the money for a car but looking forward to building this into a monster street fighter type bike. Any suggestions?

It's risky to tune the PC all the way up with the buttons if you don't know what map is on it. 1 LED movement up is +2% fuel, and it can move 5 units up or down, which is a maximum of +/- 10% fuel with the buttons, which isn't bad by itself, but that is ON TOP OF whatever number is in the map. So, if a cell in the map is already turned up to say 25% more fuel, you would be adding another 10% on top of it. This means it could be running WAY too rich in some spots, and there is no way to know without an AFR gauge. If you pull the spark plugs out and they are black and fouled, it's running too rich. I would go to Dynojet's website and find a map that matches your exhaust if they have one. If not, you will have to get an AFR system and tune it yourself, or get a performance shop to do it. As far as the clutch, if you mean it's slipping, then it probably needs a rebuild kit, all new discs, and springs.

I’ve got basically the same set up as you any way I could get the tune file to save me from having to buy the Af gauge

I got some frame sliders and have been looking for where they mount exactly can you send a pic or do a quick video on it

Nevermind I took a screenshot of one of your videos for a reference

Okay, I made a community post about it for you with some more pictures. They bolt onto the front engine mount.

When you say the ratio is between 13 and 13.1, do you mean for each and every rpm it should be between this range? Thank you mate
@lonelyryder7441 Жыл бұрын
You don't have to make EVERY part of the map exactly at that spot, but you will definitely want the power band to be at that ratio. The powerband is a diagonal section of the map stretching from about the middle to the bottom right-hand corner. That's the most important part.

Thanks mate. I am considering to do it in a Z800 and also eventually swap the throttle bodies for the gen 1 Z1000. I just dont know if it will fit... the results in the internet are mixed... honestly, I don't know how much potential the Z800 engine has...

It does not remember the clock every time I turn off the bike What's wrong?

Your battery could be low on voltage, or something is interrupting the voltage getting to the speedometer. You could also check all the fuses in the fuse box to make sure they are okay. Beyond that, I'm not sure what the problem is. As far as I know, that normally happens only when the speedo has been disconnected from the battery for too long.

Hi! I own an 05 z1000 and would like to tune it tho not sure which direction to go! Are you currently using a power commander? Also I struggled to find a bracket for the steering dampener, any suggestion on which to get? Your videos are awesome keep ‘em coming
@lonelyryder74412 жыл бұрын
@ Ayoub Yechou Yes, I am using a PC3 USB. As far as the dampener, you have to search for the whole "kit" which comes with a mounting bracket. Here are 2 listings on eBay identical to mine: www.ebay.com/itm/133674900884?hash=item1f1fa51d94:g:lSUAAOSw9iZgNgEO&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA8MLmPCwKPKE3MLuPrq4UUNsg8iBrogeusPDU%2BtLvVVBQTlHL8%2BC6J%2FIjMUniQ0Bj3mM1tFx5N4X6oRs6%2F6sgqShQSfnGd4WO16PtxVHGb5u2E0VGkiIV6BEif8aW0JQFpioaL5S%2FftA%2FO%2BvaG1j8Y%2FU17qVVEvK43w5izMmF811XyFhlZXVxLlI4IVte7PdrmdFQbIdsT2SYM320%2B9q146%2FzunbnieOWQ0Jp6hAX9TTR%2FS%2BGEygN%2FzWZ%2F3yYdGx0w9PDR36deULJFs4DpIyoe9%2BfWREi3ct%2B9mVnQvWlbm3W5x7O2aVo7rYYZ0%2FiT2ofvg%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABFBMqLnkjPdg www.ebay.com/itm/133770808411?hash=item1f255c8c5b:g:mhcAAOSwOxJeCZHA&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA8DMqlhhapBBdfGaCLZWEd1631otmF5Gr2UdbaTs8ZP3oVdOQi8ihtB170bhZ92TRAg7zG2JAd2jDLvY8qyhp%2F%2FV8IKngP2aLtQz%2BvNPi8JpNg3IabGGawYw88nhTq4nNauU%2FOHHsm75VH2PtMEqqzPEsvv8VY%2BLmPDTcKSJDR272AusU3NxzmQVblMRXwCt4UvKpMtm1YY6S68e5LxpvnzOwI4xxrq9cwip5XkVVVAk3Rvz2aqAzCj3jXGslIfoj1mWBmBk720zvTYRCoauZPESOwGFQLGJN8qmSkj8kjjvvPumVV%2FBwSXRScTR4%2BOeJng%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABFBMqLnkjPdg
