I just finished my blanket. I just love it. I used different colors though. I started with a dark grey and then made stripes of varying widths in a deep red and black and purple and dark blue and burgundy and a medium grey. I had planned to order, but I couldn't wait so I picked up the yarn at Walmart. It is Lion Brand Hometown. So thick and butter soft and the colors are rich. It is splitty, so probably would not be fun for regular crochet, but worked beautifully for Tunisian. I got my hook from Knitters Pride and it looks just like the one you are using. It was very nice to use, except the cord. That takes some getting used to. Thanks so much for teaching us Tunisian Crochet. I am already looking for another project to make. I am really new to crochet in general, but am enjoying it so much. I even sent my granddaughter crochet stuff for her 13th birthday. Have to enlist more to our obsession, I mean hobby.

Congrats! That color combo sounds delightful. The hometown does split when I use it too but it's great to know it was a bit easier with tunisian crochet. I bet it's so cozy soft too!

Do you think Caron Anniversary Cakes would work up similarly by chance? I don't have any of the Forever Fleece but I have a lot of stash yarn. I don't feel confident about using a chenille type yarn with Tunisian, but the Caron Anniversary cakes seem like they could be manageable and similar thickness as the forever fleece...maybe? (I know the colors would be different, but I think could stripe up on their own - hopefully similar-ish)

The larger ones are harder to find except, can't think of her name/brand but she has full sets in plastic and a larger set too. I'll check around, Amazon is a bit temperamental sometimes. 😂
