You might be surprised how often someone has made the claim of me tunneling even though I was going out of my way to hook everyone once, then cycle through for the second hook, ect. Even during the time I was experimenting with the emblem system and was not killing anyone. In one of the variants of the emblem system, you could pip without killing anyone ( Minor edit here I accidentally put "everyone" instead of "anyone". ), but you had to make sure to two hook everyone. as well as do a few other things of course. It was at the time the hardest thing you could do since it required making sure no one died, making sure you hooked everyone at least two times, making sure you performed a specific way during chases, made sure the match itself was a specific length or more.. Ect.. Honestly it was not worth the hassle.. Sure I got some people who where appreciative but I had way more people being toxic in the endgame chat. At the time besides experimenting with what you could and could not do while ranking up I was hoping to see survivor players being at least a little less toxic in endgame chat overall.. But sadly no it was about the same. ( A later version of the Emblem system allowed you to pip with 1 kill but that version of the system was oddly short lived compared to the others. )

Fits into the same mold as survivors that get upset at the killer for going back to hook during an unhook before the killer is even 5 steps away from said hook.

We can gen rush but you can’t tunnel even though both of those things are just the objective. We can tbag but you can’t bm on hook cause that’s toxic. We can sabotage hooks and flashlight blind you to halt your progress but you can’t slug us to halt our progress. They get angry about these things cause they claim it’s not fun to play against but don’t acknowledge games aren’t fun when they play that way.

when i play as killer, i signal them to take their medkit with them, because i cant use it as killer. It nice thank you gesture from survs, but they are hurting themselves leaving an item behind.

Personally I only call a killer a tunneler if they are actually tunneling. For instance I recently had a killer follow me my entire life in the game, every time I was saved he was right back on me. Ended up wasting so much of his time that my teammates got 3.5 gens done (would have been more were it not a disorganized solo queue team), but that doesn't help me much, a good lightbringer and evader emblem alone is not enough to pip on the ranking system when you get nothing in benevolent or unbroken. In another recent game, a survivor had just finished healing me off a hook and the killer ran past him to chase me some more, that is definitely tunneling to me, when the other guy was closer to him and tried to block for me and everything. I'm not going to call a killer a tunneler if he finds me working on a gen after I was unhooked and my teammates couldn't finish the heal because they were chased away, but I will call an actual tunnel a tunnel.

I never cared about the "Suviors Rulebook". I dont have to be nice as a Killer. Suviors dont care about my Fun, so why shoud i worry about theres? I payed for the Game, and i can play how ever i want it.

@SmegMartass I don't necessarily disagree about certain play styles being boring, I think you should play however you want to play because the survivors won't hesitate to bully a baby killer and they need to be knocked down a notch or two

@SmegMartass I think part of the reason things like that shouldn't be taken seriously is because no one ever calls out both sides, just killer. I think hook break into boil over on a large multistory map with flip flop and power struggle is the lamest way to play the game ever (not really any counterplay to it when it works either beyond slowly slugging to death, especially power struggle) since it's just straight up abuse of bad map design, bad perk design and rng, but you don't see me on the forums talking about it. Same goes with picking one of several obviously broken maps and just ending the game in 3-5 minutes as survivor. When other survivors start calling them lame and unfun alongside these things, then maybe it can be described that way, but until then I say just let people play how they want, be that to win, mess around or do something really weird

​@@durk541That's a two way street. Killers won't hesitate to tunnel the obviously not skilled baby dwight just to make it a 3v1 as fast as possible. And both sides cry victim while doing those kinda things because they don't want to feel like shit for their own actions (which I mean it a video game. It's not THAT serious) so it creates this endless feedback loop of people "fighting back" against people who in reality had nothing to do with whatever it is that's bothering you. If you wanna play scummy or for fun or to win. You do you. Just get off the high horse while you do it. And don't act suprised if people call you lame either.

The only thing to keep in mind is the only way that the survivor rule book is important to follow is if you are a small channel and your content is mediocre and you can't really entertain people but you try to grow as a content creator on DBD because the mass majority is survivors and they want to watch the content they enjoy

Because truthfully it is more efficient to do the gen and then get healed. No downside to doing anything while injured. Obviously if you are a bad looper then it is more of a hindrance but once you hit mid-high tier it doesn't matter. This is why I always felt Thana should be base kit.

Yep, first gen, then heals. I do gens even if i have deep wound active (especially agains legion). Can do gen a bit, but than have to mend. After that, repairing gen again.

Personally, I stopped caring about people complaining how I played (mostly post-match rages), and just do what I think is right in the moment. Even if that means I tunnel someone out super early or try to tunnel but fail so badly that I only get a 1k. What happened to just playing the game lol

there was definitely no tunnelling in this match at all and once a survivor touches a gen injured after being unhooked thats obviously their own decision things like that are not what tunnelling is about but what is the survivor rulebook? who wrote it and made the rules? it doesnt exist mate, there is no rulebook its just a strawmen to put words into peoples mouth and a dishonest way to have an argument so using it out of context to ridicule and discredit the other opinion does not work in favour of an environment that enables critical thinking TrU3 is not the kind of killer who has to rely on tunnelling, ive watched quite a bunch of his matches at this point and he doesnt need it, he doesnt do it especially not in the malicious way some killers do when somebody like me talks about tunnelling i hope for the day that he realizes that using such context bloated trigger words works not in his favour towards the critical thinking environment he advocates for good match btw
