Congrats on passing the exam! That's extra 5 points make a big difference. Re: Uni life in Canada - from my experience, people tend to stick with their high school friends (if they are in the same uni). Age is also a factor as well. It's definitely harder to make real friends as you age. That's why it's good to have hobbies/solo activities you can do on your own. Sakura in Vancouver look gorgeous. I missed my annual visit to High Park this May due to covid. I hope I get to visit Vancouver next time when they are in peak bloom.
Same here in UK, Ko Tun Tun. People are so dry. Just be yourself to be happy. I am like you that I don't like small talk ( a phrase we use in UK ). After spending almost 20 years in UK, I can't be bothered with small talk and can't be bothered with what people think. I never ask about their weekend or their weekend plan or their children or their personal lives. When they ask me, I just said "No, I don't plan anything for the weekend." and I don't ask them back their question for their weekend plan. Regarding friendship, a true friend will come along, very rare but they exist. You will come across with honest people like you. You don't need a thousand friends because you have one true friend who would give their lives for you. A true friend isn't a sexual partner.

The older you get, the more difficult to make friends. Even in our own country, life regarding studying master and bachelor was completely different.

Are those “Somei-yoshino” cherry trees mostly? Seems the trees are blossoming a lot later than in other places. Is it always around this time of the year or did I miss the part where you mentioned when the video was taken? I enjoyed listening to your opinion of the culture here. I've heard even the Europeans find North Americans to be obsessively talkative and do not understand the culture of "breaking the ice" with all the fluffy greetings.

The cherry blossoms is in April once a yr thing. Yes. They like to take unnecessary greeting which can be recorded and playback. :)

@@TunTunVlogsCanada Thanks. I thought the video was taken recently and was wondering how the cherry trees could be blossoming so late. Now I know :-)
