According to Davis himself, the cops first approached him in 1999 and when they did, he said they already knew everything as far as who was sitting where in the car and who fired the gun. So for them to prosecute this now, almost 30 years later, when they pretty much knew the whole time I think would cause a lot of trouble. I can see people rioting and hating the police even more if they try to do anything with this case

@@leir2005 Actually officers Ladd and Brennan knew exactly who was in the car back in 96-97. Davis was in jail at the time, the other 3 wouldnt talk. This is all happening because the current detective on the case, and the new LVPD sheriff made the big push. Lets give it some time and see what happens next.

It’s solved it’s not prosecutable. Very big difference. I’m a native and local Vegas residence and yes the city has always wanted it prosecuted; however, the primary suspect was the first to go. 2009 when KD was given a proffer agreement he had just finished federal prosecution. The reason why a warrant was served is bc of him talking on these platforms. In the agreement it states that if ANYTHING he states comes down the line later to not be true, the deal is off the table. He may not be behind bars, but they have torn that family’s world upside down! KD cannot go back to Compton despite what he says he cannot! Remember, there is various types of justice beyond prison. His life has been anything but comfortable trust me.
