They should have transitioned the Dairangers and Thunderzords as powered up versions of the original MMPR). Instead, to sell more toys they spliced(poorly)...

I use to always wonder why certain quick shots of the megazord could be seen when it should be the thunder megazord. Or why the megazord suddenly got hella slow towards the end of the first season lol. Sure enough, that's when I found out about Zyu2 footage.. But I had no idea this footage was actually accessible to the public.

The best thing about Zyu2 footage is we didn't have to see Tommy's lameass American shield as much.

I don't know why they couldn't have just made him a cheap one from craft foam or something. Anything would have been better than the fabric thing we got.

@@LloydBaron I know, right? I read years ago that they tried using a stiffer one similar one to the Japanese version, and JDF said he couldn't do his stunts in it, so they made the fabric one.

It's fun that they used a shield similar to the japanese version in supermegaforce legendary battle and super ninja steel dimensions in danger. In the specials they also used a stuntman.

if only the piranha fish monster didn't froze the original dinozords and the dragonzord the rangers would still have them to form into ultrazord later in season 2 against the harder to defeat mollusk monster turbanshell

He didn't really freeze them. His real power was basically copying tommy or burai in zyuranger where his weapon can copy the sound frequency of the dragon dagger to the point he can even affect the other dinozords.

@@Fureiji88 Yeah in the Zyu2 footage he's controlling all the Zords but they only have him use the others to fire one blast once and then just use Tyrannosarus and Dragonzord exclusively from then on, so the US producers decided to just have him freeze them to try to explain why they weren't doing anything.

Originally the dinozords were going to be used up until this episode and all the footage was filmed but they decided to bring the Thunderzords in earlier and ditch this stuff. Luckily the stunt man behind the series found a VHS tape of the footage and published it online.

@@LloydBaron thankfully, I’m glad Dino megazord is still functioning for few more battles. Including Turbanshell. The only sucks is there no zord battle against Guitardo.

They filmed zord footage for all the monsters but not all of them were found by the stuntman. Guitardo, pumpkin rapper and saliguna are all missing, although some pumpkin and saliguna footage was used for the thunderzords.
