I was on the turbo boost ride yesterday but it was a different type of turbo boost ride, I had to wait at the top to get off, it was honestly super relaxing after being thrown around and the view was very nice.

Sitting at the top is actually very peaceful. You have a nice view and it's really calm up there. You only hear the people and music in the distance. Usually there's a bit of a breeze which can also be quite nice on a hot day.

Movement is smooth but very intense, so this short break at the top was fine for me when I rode it.

They have a ride like this in Atlantic City. I got on it at night time and the ocean is right next to it. So when you’re on it- it looks like you’re over the ocean. It was pitch black. I was terrified.

Looks more scary than actually is. For me it was rather a very exciting and euphoric flight experience. Seats and restraints are ultra-comfortable, movement is smooth, I didn't feel scared but total freedom.

@@gobbleswells2883 This is really comfortable and smooth, and doesn't aim to scare riders, just to give pure joy and happiness. I love it. When flight starts, I just spread my arms and legs and let me to be whirled in the strong headwind. It's really fast and intense, but I didn't find it scary. For example Boomerang, what is a very great looping coaster anyway, but seats aren't very comfortable and stops very harshly at the end. (Even so, it worth to ride it.)

You see how the seats themselves rotate? I think that allows the riders at the top to sit vertically upright while waiting. The seats must be weighted such that your bum swings downward and sits you upright when the ride stops. Too big of a safety risk to fix riders upside-down for that long, even though I would totally hang out upside-down way up there myself!

That's...kinda the point, my guy... Though I have to say, I too appreciate being surrounded by good, snug, well-fitted restraints. I mean, after all, the more secure the restraints, the safer you feel, and therefore the easier it is to relax and enjoy the pure thrill of the ride, lol.

I love that 'locked in' feeling knowing it's impossible to escape the restraints, as you say it makes you feel safe which makes the ride more enjoyable. The bigger and more secure/tighter the restraints are the more I like being locked in them.

A 14:year old guy just fell to his death in Orlando sitting in a seat with restraint just like this one. Just like this ride it is manufactured by the same company Funtime on Austria. So don't trust their seats please and don't ride them.

I wouldn't trust this thing for nothing. One good mechanical failure and it's goodbye. I'm sure it has safety measures on it but I did machine maintenance for almost 30 years and I've seen a lot of safety measures fail

@@norman9291 Nope absolutely not, this particular ride was made by Funtime, a very renowned manufacturer for tall rides. All of the european manufacturers use redundant safety systems which provied high stability and reliability. Also there are organisations which check these rides on a regular basis. I mean the list goes on and on. It‘s more likely to die on the car ride to the fair/park than on an actual ride :)

Looks like a brilliant ride, but if anyone is thinking "I've heard that motor before", you have, upto 30 years ago. KZbin - The Rack, Camelot theme park. I'm convinced they're the same motors, but the manufacturer of the rack went bankrupt years ago, before the rack did actually! It made getting replacement parts almost impossible which is why the rack was left standing but not operating for 2 years before it was sold for scrap, just before Camelot closed.
