Wow what a car! Sounds so mellow to be that fast. I always loved the Buick V6's since the early 80's. In fact, it was the first motor I built. Put it in my first car, 1973 Vega. Ran great.

I think they are a 275-50-15 ET Street Radial. It was a long time ago, so I’m not 100%, but I’m prettt sure that’s what it was.

Nothing out of the ordinary tune wise. Just followed the recipe on turbobuick.com. It seems like they live a little longer if you run more boost and less timing as opposed to more timing with less boost. Other than that, I don't have any real insight / tips. Good luck!

Out of the box on the heads, no porting. I think the cam is somewhere in the 206 / 208 range.

It did just kinda motor on through there, no muss, no fuss; lol. The car left with 7-8 PSI on this pass. I'm not sure what you mean by not brake boosting. He was on the brake and gas at the same time, hard enough to get to 7-8 PSI of boost before leaving. If you watch the video in full screen, and you look for it, you can see the boost come on hard about 5 feet after he leaves. It actually picks up the drivers front tire when it happens, lol.

Good eye man, it was soft. Like I mentioned, you can see the boost come on hard about 5 feet out. On this pass, the car left at 7-8 PSI. On this car, the foot brake will hold 12-14 PSI, but most of the time the track / tire won't take it - it just spins. Leaving on 7-8 PSI seems to be best compromise. It didn't spin much at all, and it still went a mid 1.4 sixty foot time.

It was a track rental, so we prepped it ourselves. It was super sticky.

All the same parts, with a small change to the pinion angle in the rear end. The air was really good that day, so that didn't hurt.

There's not a build video online or anything. Full disclosure, it's a friends car; not mine. That being said, the combo is nothing crazy: RCR built 3.8L, champion aluminum heads, small roller cam, precision turbo, alkycontrol methanol system, converter, and Extreme Automatics 200-4R.

These are really incredible engines. I had a white T-Type that I got into the mid 10's with no bottom end work. Just an Art Carr transmission, 7th injector, bigger fuel pump, injectors, water intercooler, tune computer, porting, and I forget what all else. It's been 25 years. It got stolen... :( But what a fun car. And that stock bottom end never broke.

Underground Garage what stall converter and what cam are u using ?

The converter is from PTC. It’s the Nissan core one that retains the lock up for cruising around. The cam is a smaller off the shelf grind; somewhere in the 206 - 208 range.
