Turbo Build Ep. 5: Intercooler & Exhaust

To wrap things up on the Fiat Panda 100HP turbo build, I route the intercooler piping and swap out the exhaust. If you watch to the very end, you will get a shneaky preview of how it drives!

Awesome ! I wish I had seen your posts before I got rid of my 2002 169 with duel sunroofs because of the duel logic tranny gave out. know body knows how to work on it here in Austria and was always quoted that its to old of a car and if they would it, it would far far far exceeded the price of the whole Panda and a new one. So I got a new old 20012 Panda 312 Lounge, with standard shift lol but it also has a rare duel sunroof which is unheard of here for a 312. Keep up the awesome work and look forward to seeing all and future.

Bro! Your Clamps need more Clamps! lmao. Dude, hows about a complete test drive video, after you slapped everything back in again? Also, could the intercooler fit behind the bumper if you decide to run the AC? I live in South Africa, its hot and dry as hell

Lol I am using some aluminium joiners and an extension was needed for that part of the piping. I can't just yet until the car is road worthy. Once I have everything sorted, I will be able to do a proper drive video. I have heard of people making the ac work. Only reason I removed it is because the intake plenum was fouling the ac pipes going to the pump so decided to remove it entirely.

what brand are the silencer and the central exhaust system? are the collectors original?

The centre was swapped to an ebay stainless steel unit, non branded. The first exhaust was the mm695 magneti marelli. The second is the prowler by inoxcar. The collector from the turbo is oem cat and the manifold is oem too

Looking at rear brake disc around 4:09 you probably seized brake calliper or calliper pins. Anyway good job with fitting the engine in the 169 chassis.

The calipers in the rear are definitely shafted. Not to worry, there is another video for that coming soon!

Love these videos. Really great work. I think you mentioned in a previous vid that you used a panda 1.2 engine loom. Why was this over re pining the original loom? Also did you manager to find the wiring diagrams online or did you have a friend in the trade? Thanks again

Thank you I really appreciate that :) I used the 1.1 loom because I had screwed up the original loom. I was trying to adapt the a500 ecu and bcu but there are too many obstacles. Once I found out about only needing to virginize the ecu, I tried getting my hands on an original 100hp loom but no one was willing to send me one so ended up with a 1.1

I bought this a few years ago from Amazon. The brand is inoxcar but I had bought the last one. Google for inoxcar fiat panda there is a website for it I think
