UPDATE: Mitch if you are reading this I hope you are but I turboed my 2001 Celica GT in December and it is everything you said. It is an incredible sensory experience. It's FAST!!! It pulls. It drives amazing!!! The turbo sounds, the flutter, the BOV, the spooling is absolutely orgasmic!!!!! I can't stop driving this car. And the speed just continues to climb!!!!!!!!!! You inspired me to Turbo my Celica and my Celica gets sooooo much attention and draws crowds at my local car meets.

Sounds good, runs good. I couldn't help but to notice what mph you where getting out of each gear. I used to race my 2000 gts on the street all the time. I know it like the back of my hand. I could hit 40 mph in 1st gear, 67 mph in 2nd gear, 88 mph in 3rd, and around 105mph in 4th. Your not getting close to that. I know you wasnt pushing it to the red on the rpm guage. But it seemed even if you went to the red you wouldnt have hit those marks. I know the 2000 gts was the fastest one that Toyota produced. I cant help but think that if you were to boost a 2000 gts it would be even faster. A 2000 gts has a lift range of 6000 to 8400 rpms. Where as other models have a 6200 to 7800 rpm range. Makes a huge difference.

Yo man I got a 2004 GT celica, I’ve been whipping around in it and I’m looking to upgrade, it’s a normal GT so I got 140 hp but I’m trying to get a turbo, how much re arrangement would I need to to do install it if possible

haha i just finished my turbo in my 2002 celica gts and i haven’t got to drive it and hit boost yet cause up in BC there’s still so much snow lmao but i can’t wait to drive mine in the spring, what are you running for a tune? i just have a small chip tuner from chip tuners canada and im not sure if it’s going to work well or not. also wondering what oil your running? sounds great hopefully my car will not blow up but i will only end up pushing 7-10 pounds of boost so we will see!

did you have a turbo custom fitted or was it a kit? been thinking of boosting my 00 gts but any "kit" ive looked at is over 7k and only good for about 7psi which just isn't worth the cash imo
