Well, actually jongkook has been a singer for 2 decades now lol. He debuted with turbo in 1995. This video was a special music video for their 20th Anniversary. They're the 1st generation of idol. And jongkook is originally A SINGER before he BECAME THE SPARTA.

@@TooGrown Turbo is a group from the 90s and they hadn't been active, just this song after so many years. Kim Jong Kook is my bias in Running men. After Turbo, he is been singing solo. BTW, I have been watching Running men since epi 1, it started in 2010, you are going to see all the Kpop groups competing against them, (idols vs Running men) you will have a lot of fun! Best episodes from epi 40 to epi 300. They have more than 500 epi right now so you have a long way to go! Enjoy it!

The reason why groups like TURBO does not get requested a lot is because they were more active in late 90s. And they don't promote as a group a lot these days. Also their music is not mainstream, so people tend to sleep on them a lot. And their sound is more old-school, which is not bad at all))

Turbo debuted in 1995 as 2ppl group which is vocalist KJK and rapper Kim Jung Nam，all their title songs were huge hit back then. Although they were monster group but they had a very hard time with their company. After Kim Jung Nam left（1996），Mikey was added as rapper（1997）. They disbanded（2000）and KJK turned into a soloist. （2015）They formed back the group as 3ppl which were 1 vocalist and 2 rappers. ------- i also knew KJK from RunningMan and i also surprised that he was a singer，1st generation idol. As his fan，RunningMan or Singer，love both sides of him

Turbo was a duo and a generation above the first generation idols H.O.T and Sechskies, The first Turbo duo was KJK and Jung Nam, Jung Nam split when they are in conflict with their label. The record labels then are shittier that they are now. Those complaining of their stans mistreatment hadn’t had them go through what the first gen and above had to suffer through. Laws has to be made to ensures that singers are given protections from being cheated and overworked like slaves by their labels. Then Mikey join KJK until Turbo ended and both pursue solo careers. As a soloist KJK was one of the few singers to won all the Daesang (Grand Prizes) of the major broadcasting company at that time in the same year. Its only after an Infinite Challenge(a variety show Yoo Jaesuk also hosted) segment that KJK was reunited with Jung Nam who he has not seen for more than a decade. On their 20th Anniversary (this song is the Comeback) Turbo reunited as a trio with all members and currently is active again.

Turbo is legendary, Kim Jong Kook is probably one of the best known idols from the first generation today (when it comes to overall not just Korea, and even in Korea he's very very well known) he's one of the cast members of one of the most popular current variety shows "Running Man", along with others over the years. Can you please react to Shinhwa - This Love. Legends of kpop, debut in 1998 and still performing, idol for yours idols, truly mith. This Love was a breakthrough in kpop at the time, the first Vogueing dance that mans in their early 30s did. One of the best dances.
