I really really would live the opertunity to come and try and learn all these builds. I don't have money nor do have sponsors to assists me, but I would love to come and learn and assist the making and tricks of building and true American car that can be a living piece of passion. I am aiming to to and do it all through a scrap yard collection and making it royalty for the no prep track.

Thanks for the reply TJ!! True, there is so much complicated geometry when it comes to the cage, motor plate, center line, 🤯! You have knowledge many of us "common folk" cant wrap our brains around though! Look forward to seeing the big block move out! We had an aluminum blocked big block in the firebird last year, there of course is a weight difference, but we went back to steel. Weight of the car is 1975 lbs without driver. So, shes a real 🐖 🤭🤣. Would love to send u some pics sometime, dont do social media, as the tech giants don't share my political views and lowered the banhammer on me in 2020. 🤭

lol, I would put the turbo above the rearend . Stick the radiator between rearend and rear bumper,lol. Run your exhaust straight back. Now if you had a one piece front end you wouldn’t have to cut anything out of it. Or twin turbo and stick them behind each front tire like a street outlaw car. Don’t listen to me,hahahahaha I’m just watching this video and love whatever you gonna do. I know this much,it’s gonna be fast no matter what!! I agree with the 72” engine placement,lol.

Not really just have to add the weight to the front and u want have to add near as much to the front as he has been adding to the back on back half stuff he’s been putting over 600 In the back for back half of the track but want have to put a 1/3 of that on the front to hold it down if not let’s he will have to play with it to see but I know when I was tractor pulling it took way less to hold down the front than to make the front lift

Have a small rad in the front. Water weight is heavy plus all the plumbing to back. Fuel cell in front is a good idea. Battery on passenger side floor. Keep the cables short. Puke tank is only thing id have in back. The shorter the lengths of everything the better. Keep weight as low as possible. Then add where yea need
@danmyers937210 ай бұрын
Not a fan of front mounted fuel cells. It doesn’t take much of a frontal impact to rupture them. Have seen way too many fires following wall impacts that otherwise would be limited to the fiberglass front end and a few front bars turn into major damage and worse, a life threatening fire. And we all know methanol fires are the scariest.
@mcintyretyler8910 ай бұрын
@danmyers9372 if keeping turbo upfront I'd assume cell would go in rear. That's wat I would do anyway.

Hello John, have you ever given some thought to using a Pro Charger crank driven super charger. They make some big ones capable of huge horsepower. It would definetly be alot simpler on the plumbing and your exhaust would be alot easier to route. Since you are building a totally new car it might be better than the turbo set up. Just something to think about. I love your channel but I do miss the Mustang.

@Alan-kb4oq10 ай бұрын
I think Mike has the right idea to keep the motor placement at the fire wall. Build it wright the first time. Going to far back is just not going to be suitable for other races to particepate in. The car won't be worth anything in the future.
@timothyfowler827810 ай бұрын
Do what u can move a move at any given time so what are you talking about all u have to do is weld four tabs to bolt the motor plate to make a longer drive shaft and bam it’s where every u want it but let me give you a little bit of in site the KC maxx car the motor is a 11 inches back and u need to go back and watch some of big chief’s videos on that when he bought the vette and y it’s always better to put it back as far as possible because the amount of weight applied on the front will always be less than what u have to put on the back I pray John doesn’t let no one talk him out of moving the motor back in that car especially with a big block and a turbo on the front of it
@chuckfowler887510 ай бұрын

@jaygullion801310 ай бұрын
Hey big guy! Small idea from my little brain! Maybe do a full tub in the car! You can still run your normal 10.5 but running the full tub would allow you the room for a bigger tire and different classes and going big Block it may help down the road having a full tub in the car that way next time you race Memphis s.o. you can fight fire with fire! Big tire,lots of grip,tube chassis,major horsepower etc..! Just a thought I had while the car is still bare pretty much!
