Well done and easy to follow . I feel that any older car should have a Fan override switch . And specially if you do any towing , It could save you from a breakdown 🤔

Yes, and it seems stock fan settings were fine when things were new, not so much when things are getting close to 40 years old.

The pink accents look even better than I thought they would! Any luck with fixing the header leak? Saw your post in the Facebook group and was curious if you tried the sealant approach you were asking about.

No, the main issue that came up was the recall heat/splash shield used on that front manifold. Because it appears to be between the gasket and manifold and could wiggle, we’d be trying to seal both surfaces with very poor access against something that could move, proved to be too problematic. It ended up driving fine and now that it will be sticking closer to home it won’t be an issue until we pull the motor and repair it correctly.
