I'm getting the same problem. I'm sure I'm using the correct password but it keeps saying it's not. Have uninstalled/reinstalled 5 times now!

Well, for some reason, if I make the Password for my storage Server the same as that for my cameras, the Storage Server device will finally turn "online" . but now I'm getting a screen asking for an "Ehome port" under "Edit port, Client Managment System" window. Have no idea why. entering a random number doesn't make it go away.

another post said to install only the basic elements of ivms4200 Client app to resolve eHome problem. However, that did not work either!

Thanks for this video...I have 2 dvr 16ch each. Only one I can register, the second doesnt apear. WHAT can I do to have 2 dvr in the program, to rec in my pc?

As any other program, those two consume resources. However, the framework for IVMS-2400 take aproximately 150 Mb of RAM and almost no CPU power. Those values will go up in the moment you start the client. If you use the system for recording, without the client being open, you should be fine with the average PC configuration.

All works fine but what If i have another IVMS client in the office next door ? Can i also play recorded footage on that IVMS client from the storage server ? Thanks

Hi. Do I need to add a camera via IP? I can only add via cloud p2p. But in the Storage Schedule section, I don't get a drop-down list of cameras.

The storage server only supports IP or domain. P2P can't create the record schedule. I'm so sorry for the late reply! Thank you so much!

I don’t want to record all the time but only when a movement event is triggered. How can this set up? The cameras are already configured to only record events to the internal sd card. I want the same files on the storage server. Is that possible? Thanks!

I'm sorry for the late reply! You can set the record when a movement event is triggered. (Step 1) The first creates the schedule with an event in Schedule Setting. (Step 2) The second set up an event and enables the trigger record in the Linkage Method tab (Trigger Channel). And on the storage server, in Schedule Template select Event Template, it to record with the event on Storage Server

@@TurboHDX I'm trying to figure this out now too. I'm successful with recording on the SD card with a motion event. I do not have anything setup on the Net HDD I have the Storage Server set to Event Template, with the Storage Sever name selected. Hope this is my answer.

Ivms new version doesn’t support the storage server. Now not free, you can use the old version or buy the HikCentral Professional and buy the pStor for storage. Thank you

You check the recording schedule is continuous (all day template) or event. For the event, we need to enable the event function first. It's not recording for the P2P connection. Please check again. I’m so sorry for late! Thank you!

Hmmm where the heck do you point it to save on NAS instead of HDD? Because i only have C and i want to point it to my nas storage...

If you use Hikvision NAS, you can add it to IVMS 4200 for camera storage. If you use another NAS set, you can linkage it directly to the camera, DVR or NVR via the Net HDD configuration interface. I’m sorry for the late reply. Thank you!
