Yup, folks have been "twin-charging" for years. There was even a VW in Europe in the recent years that was both supercharged and turboed. It was a 1.4 liter, got almost 200 hp and got great MPG. The turbo provides the mid and top end while the blower huffs it out of the hole. A great combo.

Banks Power If you can put this in a rear wheel drive layout, with stand alone engine management, I'd like to drop that in a '32 Ford roadster, MG Midget or Volkswagen Karmann Ghia and make it my daily driver.

On the 222 record run the truck blew the whole back of the quick change off after the final mile trap we found a couple of gears and bearings plus alum pieces on the track

Mr. Banks, You Rule. Thanks for all you have done. I have a question, well I have a couple of them. How viable is it to use Hydroxy as an alternative fuel to the comon place fossil fuels we have today? Can it be used in a Charged ICE? Would you consider the risk involved with hydroxy, to high? Kind regards A longtime fan...

Thank you for clarifying that.

The disadvantage i see in going diesel would be not being able to control the timing. I dont know if they control the fuels timing some how or the cam takes care of that but it doesnt seen ideal to me. yet im not expert

Turbochargers also get better fuel economy then superchargers.

using the turbo as a wind turbine to recharge the batteries or something in that vicinity...

new diesels time the injection of fuel. they directly inject fuel into the chamber. it is electronically controlled, and has nothing to do with the cam shaft anymore.

Too bad things are looking different these days with the cheapness of gasoline opposed to diesel. If anything Diesel has gone up in price because of their associated sulfer problems
@callumwearne787010 жыл бұрын
But heres the thing. There isn't as much N/A engine internal tuning being made anymore. You can turbo charge anything and make it fast. Without turbos Diesel engines would suck badly. But Just imagine if i had a 454 big block which already makes around 450hp, twin turbo charged. I'm willing to bet it would beat the living shit out of any diesel

Callum Wearne itnwould beat the living shit out of itself. That’s the point he was making. It’s very hard to break a diesel

@bkwjrejlegfjligfergf Wait, let my rephrase that. The TRUE term for an engine requires that the powerplant runs on combustion. A motor runs off of another sourse of energy, say electricity.
