Thanks for the great comparison ride Brett!!! I was lucky last week in Sicamous to get a chance to ride a 2020 Pro 800/163 as well as a 2020 Khaos 850/155 the same day/same epic snow conditions! The Pro works well but is a little too "planted" in the front end. I prefer the light feeling front end of the Khaos. That being said.....the track length could have made the difference I was feeling plus I wasn't able to set up the suspension to suit me. I think for my personal style of riding I will be choosing the Khaos with a 155 skid which feels similar to my IQ 800/155/2.6. I will be 60 years young in a couple of months and I think the Khaos to be the most comfortable transition for me. Always looking forward to your next video.......keep them coming! Cheers!

I've had both pro and khaos models and they both work great depending on what your looking for. The pro is better in the trees and hold's a better line but isn't as fun.The khaos has better shocks. You can drop the front suspension skid on a pro down into the assault hole and make it closer to a khaos for the fun factor or shorten the limiter strap on a khoas and it makes it hold a line much better.I tested both sleds against each other with identical clutching and they were so close. They had same ski lift and acceleration in one ft of fresh. Basically they were a blend of the two models when doing this.In my option Polaris should make one model with and an adjustable limiter strap with the khaos shocks.Great video Brett this helps alot of guys

I actually converted my khaos to rmk rails and limiter straps. Huge difference not only in the wheelie but because of the tip on the front of the rails the khaos tends to trench. I think I might even try an anti stab kit on my rmk rails and slightly longer limiter straps to make it more playful

Found a untracked steep hill, riders started thier climb at the very start of the hill, no run, both doo and alpha got close to same height, both started trenching and got lots of ski lift and turned out 3/4 ish way up, my rmk when easily over the top, no ski lift, doo rider says to me," that sled is like a tractor"... I'm buying a new 2022, def will be the 2.75 , 165, just not sure what version, the common sence part off me says rmk, but I'd love to have the easier riding khoas on those shallow sno packed days. I’ll be honest I never had that much issue with my Khaos being unruly. Long term though I stretched it to a 163 after my first season as a 155. Only reason being was that it trenched and was hard to keep the front down on steep and technical terrain. The 163 conversion made it way better in steep technical terrain. This season I’m putting a turbo on it and can’t wait. But I had a 17 pro Rmk before and tbh I love the 20 Khaos compared to the pro Rmk for my riding style. Probably will step up to the patriot boost Khaos in another season or 2 though.
@motorizedjunk66663 жыл бұрын
Would be worth while mentioning, if you don’t like the khaos ski lift you can drill a new hole in the front limiting straps and bring it closer in, and end up with ski pressure like an rmk Also in more spring like snow conditions a khaos would really shine, most of my days on the snow are not as good as in your video It’s all a trade off In the hill climb portion you get the khaos to appear to struggle, hitting the bottom of that hill with any speed keeps the front end more planted. I like a short track because I carry more momentum in my riding anyways typically Current sled is a 2020 khaos, have had a 16 rmk and 12 assault, and I highly prefer sleds with more ski lift for my ride style To each his own obviously, but the excessive ski left in a khaos is a very easy tune/fix

If your wheelying so much. Aren't you getting more traction, that's why the front end is coming up like that. So you need to move your body & you're feet more forward. Because you already have the traction. So you don't need to be so far back on the sled. You have 2 different sleds your trying to ride the same way.
@turcotte163 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. I was riding both sleds with the same body positioning to be fair. It’s not because of more/less traction. It has to do with the steepness of the tips of the rail on the khaos. Makes a sharper attack angle, which in turn causes the sled to wheelie easier!

If I had your skill set, I think I'd buy the Khaos. But I don't. Not even close.(lol) Best comparison video I've seen between these two sleds - thanks for the info man!

My conclusion after watching this. God damn this guy can ride, I couldn’t come close on either sled
@Icutmetal2 жыл бұрын
@@TheKfilter Agreed. The sled is a big part…no doubt about that, but the rider is what makes it!

I have $7 to my name right now and I’m watching a video on which $17,000 snowmobile would best suit my needs 🤣. Now if I save for a little over 200 years I’ll have enough to buy one. Hahaha!!!
