I too, am an amateur, and I've seen some really small DSLRs from Nikon. I see them being carried by tourists in Japan and in Belgium, so it seems like the size can also be small, even in the DSLR category. I shoot on Nikon film cameras, but lately, I've bought the blue Nikon Zf, with the FTZ adapter and a classic Carl Zeiss Planar T * 1.4/50. The combination was not just based on aesthetics (albeit mostly the reason), I was keen to get some of Nikon's best technology (such as manual lens focus confirmation and VR), but also for the full-frame look and portability. Not just these, but I have a collection of Carl Zeiss classic manual lenses in F-mount which can be utilised with the Zf.

You are a pro-level amateur, way ahead of me. I don't own any Zeiss lens. Most of my lens are autofocus.

@@turingcs2001 firstly, thank you for a very swift response. I do buy Zeiss lenses, exclusively, because I like their built quality and timeless rendering. It is perhaps one of those weaknesses that I have, but an obsession nonetheless. Auto focus lenses are good and many people find them convenient. Having those is just a preference and not really and depiction of skill level. It is extremely early here in Belgium, so back to bed for me. Have a good day ahead!

Your video is really impressive, man. I own a Samsung S24 Ultra; it has one of the best cameras for a smart phone. For video, I prefer to use Pro Video, which has better ISO and shutter speed control.
