Very impressed by Berrserk, he went from an almost reckless aggression in the first games, but the final game he was extremely reserved. Tim was like a kicked dog, taking a very defensive position and waiting for the onslaught that never came, and Berrserk's reaction? "The elves want to sit back and shoot? Let them." he just dodged arrows with dogs until half their ammo was gone, and when he finally did choose to engage, he did so very staggered. For the first third of that final game, I think only two of his units were actually fighting. Very, very good series of games.

It was an impressive showing, for sure. I think the psychological victory was the most interesting part. Tim's opponents previously (and in other streams, as far as I recall) are happy to give him time to build up, thinking that they would still win the symmetric game. It feels like the insane hyperaggression from Berrserk rattled him; he was shattered in the first game, and came within a hair's breadth of losing the second. He might have been pressured into changing his playstyle on the fly. As other commenters noted, choosing a final matchup that he probably wasn't very familiar with also worked to Berrserk's advantage. I wonder how much of that was a mind game, Berrserk offering up the Khorne match knowing how unusual and tempting it was.

Berrserk was a terminator, I only caught the end live so I went back to watch them later and that daemons of chaos match was wild. maybe Berrserk or houseplant will send you their series for you to cast since those sounded super close if they took that long to wrap up.

Some really excellent play in that finals, you could really tell that they are both top players. Love how TTW had a more defensive strategy which led to them playing lots of order factions and Berrserk having a very aggressive playstyle meaning they played lots of Chaos factions.

I forgot to mention it during the stream, but on the tabletop the Tomb Guard did do magic damage because they're not using regular weapons, they're using cursed weapons meant to kill trespassers, which is also why they used to have Killing Blow. In the Old World they lost their magic gear, and were instead given a weaker version of Killing Blow and armour piercing.

@@williampounds5191 Skin wolves also provide nice and mobile anti-large, add Throg as a lord and you have a very nasty anti-large ability. Of course even the basic spearmen are kinda nice with their rage mechanic.
