At 2 points per second he won after 99 seconds. In other words, if you have 1400 points and only one flag, you need your opponent to have less than 1300 points.

If the point tickers' values are available to modders, it should be possible to make a “who's winning during double cap” mod by comparing the values. If 1500 - [double capper's points] < 2 * (1500 - [single capper's points]), double capper is winning. Time remaining is simply 1500 - the victor's points in seconds.

Sadly the Spend just didnt work out, I wouldve had to put the Damsel on a horse instead of her unicorn which means she gets oneshot by Rancid. Downgrading one of the battlepilgrims also hurts imo!

I think the Rot Knights are a fine call, but just need to be careful to not get them charged upon entry. If the Pegasus knights hadn't got them I think they help negate some of Bretonia's cav

Insane match. Don't even think that Rot Knights are that bad, just a micro blunder there from Hadres. They are really good if you can sneak them around and cut off cav reinforcements

Goddamn, what a match. Rot knights were definitely a liability unfortunately but damn. The Nurgle lord going down in the last few seconds of the game gave it a properly climactic feeling too, which a lot of close dom matches can kinda lack imo. Top notch.

I wonder why hadres was confident enough to bring a lot of missile vulnerable units but decided against plague ogres. I just feel like the Bret cavalry spent the whole game grinding everything that spawned in and because he had nothing to come in and deal with them other than the rot knights, that got immediately spawn jumped, it really hurt him. If 2 plague ogres with halberds popped out I feel like even grail guardians would struggle to just deal with those.

Grail guardians are deceptively good vs monter infantry in my experience, since they dont send models flying , the 3 attacks after the charge deal a lot of damage if there is a moderately good attack surface. And they have the Mdef to stand those seconds in combat generally.

I think heavy cavalry was always good in multiplayer. They aren't that strong in single player due to the prevalence of heavy armor after mid-game and the micro required is not optimal in 20vs20+ battles.

With a match *that close* I think. I do genuinely think that if that unit of chosen that was standing around in the midgame doing nothing had gotten in and kept accruing value. If the GUO had been committed to the middle more consistently. Nurgle would have taken it. The ability to drop pestigors and maybe a recall of the frolickers make holding it for any length of time difficult? I know this is armchair commentary and hindsight for that matter but. Without those tiny misplays I'm sure they could have clutched it.
