fun watching you learn and improve - pop smoke on your vehicles when you're trying to save them ("z" on your 2 light cars when they were dying) - self propelled artillery ONLY shoots when you manually tell it to. target a location and look at mini map, it will show the range. never keep it near front line except to be in range of their base's retreat point for sweet sweet war crimes on half dead retreating squads >:D

Centaur tank is anti infantry and buildings sadly. You floated a lot of fuel and had good manpower income I think taking the minute to wait to purchase a tank or two would of worked better rather then just putting units on the board. Great game.

Agreed, it seems to work well in TW3 to keep momentum. With CoH it's much better to have top-tier sustainable rather than medium tier losses.

Great gameplay! During the video you said that you don't really know what the Commandos could be used for or something like that, don't forget to use the Commando's TNT/Demolition Charge, they can place to create great traps, specially at points, near points and behind the enemy lines.

Hi Turin, great video! A few advices from the veteran: 1. Dont go with mass mines at 1 point. 1 call in or granade can detonate them all 2. When you noticed that he has a lot of tanks - use mines to slow them, also your last tank was anty infantry, should be anti armor. Overall you should go for more tank destroyers or 1 heavy tank to the front and mediums for the flank of his armor. You had a lot of fuel. 3. use cover more frequently, it is essential. 4. Good distraction play, but sometimes you overcommited with squads which are doing it, probably you could save artillery +2 AT guns if 1 of your normal infantry squad was there with sticky bombs and AT rifles. 5. If you see that your MG or AT gun is not gonna win engagemnt and there is no chance for destroying target - try to run with it. Even if you know that it will die, it is always better to have it closer to the base. If you will stay with it too far, enemy will destroy it, or grab it too easily.

It's been awhile but I believe it's worth using shock troops like the commandos to rush enemy infantry to deny their cover and make good use of their smgs, they should trade more efficiently that way.

Commandos aren't able to handle that kind of thing in this CoH, they have to do cover stealth ambushes.

Very important with antitank guns to go for flank shots on the side panels or back of the enemy tanks. Frontal shots will just bounce off the front armor, especially vs late game panzers. Afrikakorps gets tanks that they only have to spend manpower on, which is why they snowball. If they have a bunch of tanks though, it means its a lot to micro, so it's easier to get flank shots on them if you show a big matilda like that, they focus on it, but your anti tank guns and infantry with sticky bombs come from the sides The matilda can take a few shots, but it counts for little if you line up and try and win a frontal engagement head on only. A lot of players auto retreat from artillery or airstrikes too. The cool thing about the british is they have lots of artillery units that fire without showing those red Flares, including the literal artillery unit in the main base building, that the recon vehicle can call in strikes from for free. The british play style means using all those combined arms advantages to set up ambushes that either use artillery to pounce after enemy infantry overextends, or scare enemy tanks into ambushes with flank shots from AT Guns and tanks coming around the back or sides

Some tips: - you were floating on almost 500 fuel near the end and was kinda wasting manpower on infantry, which did nothing against armour and did badly against enemy infantry, should've gotten more heavy tanks instead - Comet you've called was a SPG, effective against infantry/buildings, pretty useless against medium/heavy tanks - build sandbags to get cover, razor wire to cut-off infantry paths and block cover for the enemy, tank traps to create chokepoints for tanks (all of those cost nothing but time) - infantry with SMGs is more effective close range (like commandos), so get them closer to enemy. Keep the rifles at range most time. - use smoke for tactical advantage, block enemy MGs vision to get closer. Pop it on tanks for easier retreat - reverse on vehicles is not always good, it prevents exposing the back armour but really slow downs the retreat - as for your light vehicles, keeping them slightly at range of enemy infantry prevents easy anti-tank granades on them Keep learning the game and the the content up! :D

ALrighty, 5 mins into the video and my biggest suggestions would be that, unless fuel has taken a huge nerf in Coh3, you need to prioritize getting fuel early and restricting access to axis players. Their late game involves in large investments of fuel. And secondly, you don't have to expose your infantry to the opponent when capturing objectives. Placing infantry at the edge of a capture point will still take the point at the same rate and they won't see that you had invested in anti tank rifles until you've engaged them.

Another situation would have been if you had advanced your armored cars on his tanks at 24:48. It appears that they have an auto cannon of whatever calibur that would still do damage to the rear of the p4. You would probably had to have pulled them back to save them but one of the p4 would have been taken out for sure. Also, I really suggest that mobile artillery be left in your base during their cool down and moved into shotgun range only when you're about to use the barrage. Then immediately moved back to base. Too many things can wipe mobile artillery quickly.

A thing you can do to fortify points is sand bags with barb wire on the oter side. Stops the oponent from using your cover.

He's still learning. He basically dominated the early and mid game but just lost when he had one tank against 3 to 4. The micro is strong with him so he'll be a god eventually.

Great game, fun to watch. I would suggest saving for more durable vehicles that are less micro-intensive after you've fielded a couple of light vehicles. They'd done their job and gotten you good map control, but they can't hold back a strong spearhead push like what your opponent sent in. It was the lack of heavier vehicles and combined arms positions that allowed your opponent back into the game as soon as they started fielding tanks. Artillery isn't win more - it's the best counter against entrenched positions, and allows the player to spend their munitions on weapons upgrades/mine fields instead of on off-map bombardments - essentially, trading manpower (and maybe fuel, if mobile arty) for munitions. A really interesting game to watch and one in a months time when youve got more time with it upon rlease you can come back to and learn SO much from. Your distraction play, movement and changing priorities and the opponents attention was TOP notch. What let you down, understandably was just game knowledge and army comp. And to be honest that is so much easier to develop than the principles you were showing and micro skills. Great game and thanks for posting it. Army comp, unit roles and mini map every few seconds and you are well well on your way to higher!

The anti tank guns and machine guns, if the troopers are killed but the gun is not destroyed through a grenade explosion or some such, are left on the field and able to be captured by troopers. IIRC, it takes 2-3 of the men from the troop you assign at which point you can run the now depleted force back to refill and find yourself in command of some useful machinery. I can only assume you're aware by now, although I haven't seen you utilize such.

Not gonna Lie, this was kinda frustrating to watch. Turin was (for the most part) super on top of things all game. He really lost out to just unfamiliarity with the units, and army composition. One mortar and anti-tank vehicle could have done so much work there, and easily have turned the game on its head.

always lead into the fog of war with infantry, never with armor. have armor in the backlines. Also always have an infantry section to help your armor out.

Investing way too much in AT guns instead of tanks when you had all that fuel, as well as getting the Centaur (Anti-Infantry) was your downfall. Once you saw that panzer it should've been an immediate pivot to Armor with infantry/gunner support. When your opponent has 3 tanks they can run circles around AT guns.

I played various rts games... Men of war: Vietnam and Assault Squad 2, Steel Division 1 & 2, Age of Empires (all less the first one😅), Rise of Nations: Thrones and Patriots, Empire Earth 1 & 2, Command and Conquer ( most of all), Sudden Strike 4, StarCraft 2, Iron Harvest, Cossacks, Supreme Commander 2, Metal Fatigue (this game it's so old 😅 search game on KZbin (i recommend) and the other CoH's, for me the game with more deepness on gameplay and that plays different all the matches it's company of heroes... It's a classic of the rts genre and one of the best ❤️

Fuel is by far the most important resource and Turin floated WAY too much of it. If neither side gains a massive advantage early game, it always comes down to the mid-game transition from infantry/light vehicles into medium and then heavy armor. Turin actually gained a huge advantage in the mid-game stage but completely failed to transition. The enemy simply waited inside his base saving resources to make medium armor and then steamrolled across the map. Turin really needs to get machine gun teams on the map and entrench into defensive positions early game, especially against factions/players that make absolutely no use of mortars/artillery. Mid game he needs to focus less on shitty light vehicles that get insta-blapped, and focus on getting the heavy stuff out. That's how you win consistently in my experience.

Seems like you aren't using the vehicles to their full advantage in the early game, as others have said use that smoke, and second use the range of the vehicles to your advantage. Drove too close to infantry and took grenades for no reason. Great vid and content!

You got flanked many times there. By tanks. Make sure you're facing your tanks as front on as possible as the armour is a lot thicker. COH3 introduced side armour so getting shot in the side will do a lot more damage than in COH2. Good game though, I just think you need to babysit your tanks a bit more.

Awesome inf play but maybe use your 500 fuel to build your own tanks? 4 matildas would have killed everything. Wasting your manpower on anti tank gun teams while you had enouth fuel to build tanks instead was propably the loosing play in this game.
