Pistoliers in the lore are the young sons of nobles and other rich arrogant people who didn't make it into the knights orders. Impetuous as a special rule is supposed to mimic arrogant young nobles charging into melee ignoring their generals commands and then paying the price.

The problem is that they're actively worse than even the worst fast cavalry of other factions. Giving them impetous is fine, but then at least give them Fusillade ability back.

I think of it like Karl activates a rune on Ghal Maraz to unleash the full power, But the magic is so strong its hard to fight with it released all the time so he takes little breaks using it. Makes it less dumb for me.

Agreed, empire has always been good against large with spears and shooting so finally having something other than the glass-cannon grenadiers to punish infantry is great

I think the build for Nurgle is just not suited to fighting a mobile faction like Empire. Ku'gath + double foot Cultists is a lot of gold invested in some really slow units. Sorcerer Lord + double Exalted Hero or Lord of Nurgle + Exalted Hero + Sorcerer of Nurgle would've been a better choice imo.

I’ve always loved Nurgle, but I used to play Empire in Fantasy Tabletop. I recently stripped my Steam Tank to repaint in all its glory for Sigmar in the Old World.

I think the Empire player really could’ve used some outriders with grenade launchers in this game. I guess furies would hard counter them but maybe the empire heavy cav can protect them.

I'm a complete noob at TWW (played about 3 multiplayer games total), but I don't get why you wouldn't just leave Kugath on your back point and have him bombard the middle one. He can anchor that point, as the Empire won't want to fight anywhere near him, while still racking up the value with his artillery. Then you can swarm the middle point with most of the rest of your army and hopefully win on 2 points.

Cult of Ulric will have such a massive impact on the Empire roster, high quality infantry, armor piercing knights, and both of them will be overshadowed by the most valuable unit of all of them: warhounds.

Better leadership and defence hold longer and don t rout so quick. Empire infantry is cannonfoder their dps is with their mobility and shooting

always has been the empire way, spearmen with shields with their high MD are just the best holdout unit, sigmar's sons used to be meta in wh2, because they're good value per money and also hold a long time but I see them less lately

Honestly Knights of the black rose are one of the bets additions to the empire. Their whole faction idea is that they could bring ANY build. They dont have any bonuses no by our blood or dwarf armor or an chaoes army abilities or martial prowess or any of that. So i was surprises when other factions started getting more versatility than then empire AND defining faction traits and such... Always puzzeled why the empire did not have a sustain cavarly fighter and an air force. Everything else they got.

ive noticed ever since this new dlc dropped, in competitive play rtk have been getting absolutely destroyed. seems like they are just using old army comps and meta builds that is no longer working. time to put some thought into ur comps fellas and not just use the standard cookie cutter builds.
