Yay! Thank you for reacting to this. Also don’t forget about To Holmgard and Beyond if you guys haven’t heard it already. Definitely worth a listen. :)

Finally Turisas again :) Was about time :) I really recommend checking out this whole album in one session. In my opinion still the best pagan/folk metal album ever made. Such great atmosphere, amazing story telling. Perfect mix of agression and melody, head-banging and sing-a-long material :)

Actually it was recorded with different name earlier in our first demo \m/. Name was "the heart of Turisas" and then song changed name again on "Battle Metal" album to battle metal. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqu8pYJuhrqXe7s

Ahhh.. Turisas... that brings back memories. Got to see them in early 2008 when Netta was still on the accordeon. Even had a chance to meet the guys backstage and after the show. Perfect night, I'd say. If I'm not wrong, the other bands that evening were Norther and Adorned Brood. :)

Got to admit I relate to Antonio listening to stuff on repeat. I've been doing that since I got into metal like around ~2005 as a kid in school. I would listen to the same albums and songs and bands over and over and over again. Have been doing it ever since. With some albums like Ensiferum's Iron or Turisas' To Holmgard And Beyond I've probably listened to the whole thing through more than a hundred times. I did also pick up guitar playing and song writing over the years so these days I like to listen on repeat so that I can focus on the individual instruments etc. I can definitely see how it would spoil some songs and bands for other people though. :D

You should listen Olli Vänskä - Deadline. Brand new single from Turisas violinist.

Is this the album version? Something sounds off, I remember this song having alot more punch!
@Flyineddy3 жыл бұрын
This definitely wasn’t the album version. As you said, that has a lot more punch. Also the singing is a bit different. What this version really is though I don’t know.

Just really recently discovered Eye of the Enemy for me... I saw you enjoyed "The Swift", great song!! I'd assume you might enjoy "Clay" as well, if you haven't heard it yet. ;-)

Poor version of this song, sounds thin. I wish they had stayed as they were on the debut album.

I agree, the studio version is way better

Yeah the production was off on all their material after the first album. And this sounds waaaaay off and lacking punch

@@oafratos jes, I think so, too. Anyways, the sound should've been better. I saw them live, they sounded way better than that.

@@Loxley81 yeah , i know , but i guess that since they enjoyed the song they understood that this isnt the studio version
