That turtle needs to be able to spend some time out of water if it wants to, so maybe add a rock or something or put it in the pond. Definitely need a bigger tank for those fish though.

Fish often grow to the size that they’re in environment allows. Bass of that size will not grow very well in that tank. You need at least a 100 gallon I would say. Also that turtle needs something to climb out on and a heat lamp to bask in.

Hey Matt big FYI you need to setup your tube magazine to only physically accept two shells maximum during hunting. If your shotgun can take 3+ in the tube magazine and your gun gets inspected you will be cited. Love the new/different content!

MATT!! You REALLY need a hunting license and upland game endorsement to hunt turkeys, otherwise you're only poaching brother and can be seriously fined. Also, when bird hunting you're only allowed to use a maximum of 3 shells in your shotgun, while hunting. Also, during the spring turkey season you can only hunt 30 min before sunrise until 5pm. Finally, a small collapsible blind, inflatable turkey decoys, and a box turkey call will get the turkeys to come to you

Couple things, there are a lot of good aerator set ups solar is good for your pond. Also not sure how much bush you have on your property but a forestry drum mulched is an awesome attachment for a skid steer. Also get some turkey calls.

You can put in a bunch of floats with willow or fig cuttings in them and that should help suck out a lot of the nutrients the algae are feeding on while you establish shore plants.

Matts. You need to put a plug in your shotgun, you are only allowed 3 shell capacity while hunting. So 2 shells in the tube and 1 in the chamber. If you are going to be doing more hunting you should really look into the regulations more.

That is algy blowm, cos you don't have. Anough fresh water going into the pond or water airreatter ( small water fontana) . If it is manly bass that you have in the pond, you will have feed them. Live minnows. Depending on how many fish are in the pond. If they are large mouth bass ( Depending on the size of them) they will consume around 1/4 lb of minnows each per day. Maybe build a extra pond or , a large aquarium tank. Wow that must be Epic, pulling up on the drive way & seeing that murrall 👍👏👍👏

The capacity of your shotgun is three total, the magazine needs a plug so it only holds two and one in the chamber total three also make sure you are using non toxic shot no lead in California. If a game warden checks you out he will definitely cite you $$$$ Also make sure you have a hunting license with upland gamebird endorsement, good luck read the regulations as well😎

Can you just hunt in the states without taking a hunter education course? If so, that is wild. In Canada it’s mandatory to take the courses before you can hunt which goes over the basics and prevents people like this from poaching (in theory).

Something like a fountain will help aerate the water, make sure to have a way to get to it if something goes wrong. A rope or something similar to be able to drag it out when needed, or a yak to get it out. And if you're adding smaller fish like feeder minnows add more shade / coverage like rocks, logs, fallen trees or other structure to the pond so that the birds don't have a open buffet.

Looks like Duck Weed…try adding a little AquaShade to the pond. It will dye the water a blue tint and stop the sunlight from penetrating. Will help with the algae. With AquaShade a little goes a long way

Cool vid Matt. If it was me, I'd get a pop-up hunting blind and place it to the edge of that tree next to the lake where you saw that female turkey. Let them get used to it being there for a while. You should be able to call one up pretty close there. I don't know how close the tree is to the buildings, you might have to pull it a little further out. I hate the laws in this state.

Beautiful mural! Like other said it's probably a good idea to release the bass into the pond soon because they are almost at the max size for that tank. Fish only grow to the size that their space allows it, so the bass will stop growing bigger but their internal organs will keep growing and then they die. The turtle is also kinda big, I'd release that one back wherever you found it. (always remember dont introduce species to a place where they dont exist cuz that could be bad for the native ecosystem). Also they kinda need a filter

Only allowed 3 shells maximum in a shotgun while upland game bird hunting. Not supposed to have wild fish as pets, the fish will only grow to the proportional size of the habitat. Turkeys are very smart birds and weary birds. If they are suspicious of something, they wont come in. I hope you're using steel shot and get new friends who pick up after themselves if they are staying at your house! Beautiful mural, and the land around your house is beautiful.

Turkey hunting in the south we have to wear full camo. Face netting, gloves and camo on the shot gun. Call them in. Scratch on a slate box, or master a mouth reed hen call for hands free hunting (gun holding). You are very unlikely to walk up on one. They have incredible hearing and eye sight like an Eagle. Plug that gun! You can have only 3 shells in the magazine!

Change the choke on the shotgun to a full choke so it has a tighter spread, which is better for turkeys. The modified and improved cylinder chokes are mostly for ducks, geese and pheasants

You may want to look at the regulations before you attempt to hunt again. Shotguns need to be limited to a max of three shells (one in the chamber and two in the magazine). Also, good luck sneaking up on them. The best bet is to buy yourself a box call and sit tight against a tree while doing some hen calls. Move very slowly when the bird is near. Amen. Also, ghillie suit helps a LOT. When I lived in CA and hunted turkeys it took a while to learn that you need to let the birds come to you, and they have very good eyesight. Sit still and quiet against a tree in a ghillie suit and use the calls, the birds ultimately will come in.
