Nigeria. Needs help to produce its own weapons and develop its own industry. Turkey is a honest partner not like the West ie France England, etc, I hope Nigeria realises this and puts its own people first and stops the corruption. Nigeria should be one of the richest countries in the world. Come on Nigeria you need to choose your friends more carefully and you will rocket ahead.

Nigeria must prioritize the local production of heavy and sophisticated weapons and equipment. We can’t be endlessly gallivanting around the world buying weapon systems. Let’s set a timeframe as target for us to achieve at least 60% of our needs in weapon systems production locally.
@emmanuelogundipe3328
@emmanuelogundipe3328 8 күн бұрын
They are already doing that. Look up dicon and the deal with proforce
@joeyternaagor6457
@joeyternaagor6457 8 күн бұрын
@ well let’s just put it this way, DICON was established in 1964 by an Act of Parliament, that’s 60 years ago today. It was about the same time that Brazil set up its own arms industry. Fast forward, we recently bought a dozen Brazilian made super Tucano trainer/light attack aircraft, disappointingly highlighting my point. After 60 years of DICON, Nigeria ought to be a significant player in the military hardware exports market not be majorly importing from all over the world.
@emmanuelogundipe3328
@emmanuelogundipe3328 8 күн бұрын
@@joeyternaagor6457 You are correct but I hope you understand that the downfall of dicon is based on the activities of our government. Since it establishment it has been redundant until recently when the new administration came in. Honestly I do not approve of Tinubu but then some of the steps he has taken in some key sectors cannot be over looked. He has been doing a lot in the military in the past one year than any Nigerian civilian government and even in aviation he has made that sector come around. If you are conversant with aviation news you will understand. But not to digress I think some key individuals are playing key roles in the local manufacturing industries like proforce which I mentioned before )they got recognition from the Nigerian army after Belarus military came to patronize them) and then innoson is also doing great giving that they make military vehicles as well an armoured cars. There is a new drone manufacturing company in Abuja founded by Nigerians and there is one company in Lagos that is also into local manufacturing. The government have recognized some of these companies and they are partnering with them but I think I remember dicon making one armoured tank sometimes ago. A than called Ezegwu big and intimidating machine made by the Nigerian military engineers from dicon. I also know of one company, not sure if it is under Dicon but they are into production of helicopters and they are partnering with probably a German or Italian aviation company but I am sure the company is a federal institute and they are already doing good

How can Turkey supply military equipment to Nigeria without first of all investigate Nigeria's human right records? Is Nigeria fighting external war ? The answer is "NO". Nigeria military is fighting civilian militias! It means Nigeria killing Nigerians😢. The problem of Nigeria is injustice, address injustice and reduce your internal conflict to 10%.

Nigeria’s population is about 3x the size of Turkey’s, however, they don’t produce a darn thing. Besides South Africa, the entire continent of Africa pretty much depends on foreigners for everything. A long way to go for the most populous country on the continent. Nigeria has so much potential, but…???

@Delitewon
@Delitewon 16 күн бұрын
@ I am not Nigerian, however, my declaration stands without scrutiny. What indigenous navy ship is built in Nigeria? Maybe I should have expounded by saying that Nigeria doesn’t have an indigenous military procurement base. What percentage of those aforementioned ships, APC, and drones represents the overall defense forces? You are excited over paltry steps. Nigeria has the potential to accomplish a lot more than she is doing and this is a foreigner speaking to you. Do they have a pharmaceutical industry, for example? Last I read less than 2 percent of drugs are manufactured on the continent. It was shameful during Covid to see all these 54 African counties having to depend on China and India for their drug supply. Also, the altruistic nature of donor countries. Wake the hell up and smell the coffee. You are proud about insignificant and meager developments!

@Delitewon I read your comment Keenly and I realized that you love too much grammar, having said that, I only responded to your initial comment that denigrated my country Nigeria without exception and because I clarified your ignorant at first" you then concluded again that I am proud of the little Nigeria has achieved as a country, a true citizen should and must defend his or her country when been talked down on regardless of the challenges she's face with, you claimed to be a foreigner still you couldn't mentioned the name of your country but you were there counting numbers of countries in Africa, what's the name of your country? Maybe we should continue from there instead of casting aspersions on that of others!!!
