Great video and enjoyable to watch! I grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota and now live in Montana, I've been hunting turkeys about 50 years. You guys really showcased how the people are in the area, and how hard it is to hunt turkeys anywhere, no matter that you see thousands. Open country with patches of timber is tough to hunt. I also appreciate your faith. Thanks for the great hour of enjoyable hunting entertainment. I can barely wait, less than a week before our season opens.

100%. Nothing like being experienced and making a video that new hunters will watch and emulate. Why not teach proper ethics and show passing on a shot because it’s not ethical and could wound another bird. I was so disappointed in that moment I had to comment.
@MrNcturkey9 ай бұрын
What a beautiful place to hunt. Congratulations. I have never wounded another turkey like that. But I can see from a hunters view he may have not seen the other bird behind. I think with the longer range that patterned opened up and struck the other turkey. Glad they Drew could take the wounded turkey. Slade learned from that hunt for sure. Congratulations Lee on you bird as well.

Hey guys just watched your turkey hunt in Wyoming. Just one tip on hunting Toms that are surrounded by hens. Treat them like fall hunting turkey. You gently bust the group up. Set up and act like a desperate hens trying to find the group. That will work 75 percent of the time. It's not illegal and if Tom's are already with hens late morning that's about the only way to get to him. If there's 2 of you split up and one of you set up in the direction you assume that they will scatter. The other guy casually walks quietly but purposely so the turkeys will see him. And when they scatter he can drop back in the opposite direction if you and start calling. Of course set up on the edge of a field where they are known to feed during the afternoon , especially if it's a field that has grass hoppers in it. I hunted with Ben Rodger Lee back in the 80's 5 time world turkey hunting caller. Not much more than an old Alabama red neck that loved hunting. I pretty much gave up turkey hunting Too much walking for this old man Best of luck
