I’d say you should stay in Kas or Oludeniz if you like a beautiful area that is peaceful and quiet but also close to other attractions. Antalya and Istanbul are also nice but bigger cities, though very easy to explore from there as well.

great videos.. we are headed there in a month. how does the drone laws work? been trying to figure that out because we would love to get some good footage. Have a mini 3 so I dont think it needs to be registered but want to make sure we dont get in trouble while there.
@worldwildhearts2 жыл бұрын
The DJI mini should be no problem (that's the one we have and it's small enough / under the weight limit that you can fly without a permit). However, make sure to check the latest drone rules. Here is a good website for that: www.droneblog.com/turkey/

@worldwildhearts2 жыл бұрын
When we were there a drone was allowed in most places (we also have one under 500grams). None of the ruins and some other sites like Pamukkale allowed it and in our video that footage is stock. Definitely check the rules before you go though as it seems to change so quickly these days!

Beautiful video, Zac! It did inspire me to include Kas and Canyon boat tour to my itinerary. I'm visiting Turkey in off season too (December last week). I do have a question - are the tours in the coastal cities operational during that time? I spoke with a few vendors but they told that none of the boat tours will be working. I would love to visit Kekova and other islands. Seeking some on-ground information and advice from you. TIA.
@worldwildhearts2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. We were there mid-November and indeed many of the tours will stop operating around the end of October. In our case, we went to the port in Demre (where the boats leave from). From there, we talked to some people and we got a private boat for our tour. It wasn’t too expensive (I think maybe 50€ for the day). That’s the way to do it because it probably won’t be offered from Kas anymore. Lots of boats are being renovated during the off season so that’s why they don’t run typically

Hi Guys, I am at the beginning stages of investigating Turkey and ran across your channel. I LOVED your information. It was clear and concise. As a follow-up I have two questions, 1) The 10 best spots you mentioned seem to be some distance. Can you give some tips for the best way to get from place to place on your top 10 list? 2) Can you recommend a good resource for the adventures you listed, like trail guides, river rafting outfits etc. Thank you so much! I can't wait to adventure vicariously through you until I can get out there myself. Jennifer
@worldwildhearts2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Thanks for watching our video ☺️! We traveled around Turkey in various ways… there’s buses between the major spots (like Antalya to Cappadocia), but there are also flights that are pretty cheap. We also rented a car for a month from Antalya to Marmaris and hit the major spots in between like Kas, Oludeniz etc. The rental was very cheap (about 250€ for the whole month). 2) we didn’t use trail guides but most of the hikes were in maps.me as well as most of the information you can easily find online! ☺️ Hope this helps!
