Shawarma comes from "çevirme". It's similar to Turkish "Döner" and it's history goes to Ottoman Empire. Culture is very contagious. İf some people lived together for centuries, the similarities in the culture is natural. We all brothers, we all friends ❤

You are very generous with the sandwich. In Turkey, they do not serve shawarma in this way. They weigh the meat or chicken with a very accurate scale in grams. They fill the sandwich with lettuce and pickles. As for the Arab restaurants there, they never use the scale, but rather they honor the customer with the greatest respect and courteous treatment.
