As a Turk, it makes me really proud that the director of the movie Narnia included Turkish delight in the film and made the actors pronounce the lion in Turkish.

When I read about Edmund's love of Turkish delight in Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia, I had to try it. It wasn't until I was older that I learned it comes in rose flavor, too.

Turkish Delight from Narnia Recipe: 280 gr gula pasir | 280 gr granulated sugar 135 ml air | 135 ml water 1/2 sdm air lemon | 1/2 tbsp lemon juice 45 gr maizena | 45 gr corn startch 1/2 sdt cream of tartar | 1/2 tsp cream of tartar 270 ml air | 270 ml air Perasa stroberi | flavouring How to make: 1. Cook 135 ml water, sugar and lemon juice until the temperature reads 115C. Set aside. 2. In another pan combine corn starch, cream pf tartar, and 270 ml water. Cook until thicken. 3. Add in sugar syrup, bring it to a boil. 4. Cook until change color then add flavouring. 5. Transfer to a mold. Let cool completely. 6. Coat with corn starch and cut it to your liking.

There are so many flavors. But you need to taste the one with the rose flavor. If you put it between 2 sweet biscuits. It’s like soooo good . I mean I am Turkish and it’s like a a part of our culture . You can eat in anywhere. It’s also comes as a treat next to Turkish coffee. Because Turkish coffee is like soooooo bitter and I mean very bitter . You need to try it

Ya know, everyone always wants to try the Turkish delight from Narnia, but there are 2 other Narnain foods I’ve always wanted to try more:: 1) Silenus’ grapes 2) the “flavored” dirt that the dryads eat Both are eaten at the feast after Narnia is reclaimed by Prince Caspian and the Old Narnians. I’ve always wanted to attend that feast. It sounds like so much fun! (btw, this^^ is from the book Prince Caspian - which is soooo much better than its movie. I’d recommend reading all the books. But Prince Caspian (the book) will always be one of my too 3 favorites.)

Bir Türk olarak şunu söyleyebilirim kitabın yazarı Lewis in, tadına baktığı lokum muhtemelen güllü lokumdu bu yüzden filmde pembe yani gül aromalı lokum yedirdiler. Alttaki tarifte sanırım pembe gıda boyası katıyor bu istemediğimiz bir durum. Aslen ona rengini ve güzel tadını veren gül çiçeğidir. 🌹 Bu arada benim de en sevdiğim lokum güllü lokum tadı efsane tavsiyemdir 🤌🏻

I don't know why, but when I first read the book (a while before watching the movie) I imagined the turkish delight as sort of white boneless chicken pieces that had the same texture that animated meat being bitten into has (very easily ripped off and mostly just one chunk without distinguished lines or separations). Had no clue what it actually was, but somehow the knockoff kfc has stuck in my memories and i'm reminded of it whenever I hear about this scene

Awesome review Colin. Yeah I love the story. I think it’s slightly better than the first game. I do agree that the story did feel rushed. I still give the second game a 9/10(same with the first game, a 9/10. Miles Morales an 8/10). However I believe the suit had sinister intentions even before it bonded with these characters. I think it wanted a strong host first(which is Peter) and after that, retrieve the space rock.
