I will place money on scope mounts appearing. M2s have two fire controls. The paddle drops the bolt. The trigger drops the striker. You hold down both for open bolt fire. It's not exactly a weapon for sniping but it can certainly reach out when firing single rounds from the closed bolt.
@bottomshot4546 Жыл бұрын
the M2 fires from a closed bolt at all times.
@zoiders Жыл бұрын
@@bottomshot4546No it doesn't. If it was closed bolt only it would not have two controls.

@daniel17319 Жыл бұрын
I was a 50 cal gunner in Iraq for 3 years. The M2 is complicated, its not like a piston operated weapon. It is totally different, it fires single shots on a closed bolt, and can fire with part of the bolt in the rear. Its werid, ive taken it apart thousands of time, fired thousands of rounds, its complicated and i never fully understood how it worked, then you sprinkle head space and timing in, and no safety. Full auto you have a hook that you rotate over over the sear, its very atchaic but works.

Not to mention the British gave Challenger 2 tanks and the Germans, Danish and perhaps 1 or 2 others gave Leopard 2's also, and of course the US gave M1 Abrahams. Turkey has not given any tanks, nor any 4th gen fighter jets, all the others have. And has Turkey given any long range mobile artillery, like Pzh-2000's?

How come soldiers often fire the M2 without using its sights like at 0:28? Seems much more common to be fired that way compared to any other MG.
@zoiders Жыл бұрын
The M2 is generally not used free swinging in the ground role on a tripod. Rather like a mortar you lay the gun by setting the sights for the desired range and them aiming it at your intended target. Then you lock the gun off in its tripod so it can't move. When you start firing the gun is producing a considerable cone of fire that becomes a beaten zone at the other end. You don't need to look through the sights again unless your spotter makes a correction. 3:14 3:14

The rest of the %20 is American, French, German, Swedish, Canadian made mines, rockets etc. AK-47 is the common terrorist weapon in this planet. From what I am reading the Ukrainians are losing a lot of equipment and maybe the DShks have been casualties of combat and must be replaced.
