@@Musicman11389what a love is this! what an anguish! my poor heart is so devastated. if I had the chance, a sip of wine... let me drink it from my lover' hands. this would be more correct I guess. There is an "â" sound in the word "yarin". Native Turkish speakers usually skip that accent while writing because we can mostly understand which one is used by looking at the context. Also the word "yarin" translated to "tomorrow" in your translation, which would be correct if the word was "yarın".

As a Turk this made my day. I must say that your chord progressions were in tune with the feeling of the song, which is not easy to achieve. And I wonder any Indians or Pakistanies felt the same way in your previous work which I enjoyed a lot. For some what similar feeling of "metal with Turkish modality" check out Pentagram (Turkish metal group) Anatolia(song).

Check out Sevdah Metal by Emir Hot. A bit of different stuff but since Sevdah was a genre developed under Ottoman rule in the Balkans (specifically Bosnia) you'll hear a lot of cool tunes.

@@mirzaaljic Wow it was very progressive. I like the accordion melodies a lot. I listened a lot of Bregovic and Kusturica's Non Smoking Orchestra. I love the film musics of Underground and Black Cat White Cat. Kind of the same feeling "folk music with a modern touch". Those thrills of the accordion melodies of Balkans is very interesting, It is so fast for me to even understand, yet play on for example on guitar. I also love woman vocals with two or more singing at the same time. Gives the feeling of joy and sadness at the same time for some reason. :) Thanks for the suggestion, best wishes to Bosnia from Istanbul.

The funny part is, the music of Turkey is largely a blend of Greek, Arabic and Iranian (and maybe Kurdish, Armenian etc), all cultures that are geographically close to Europe and have had several millennia of connection to it, yet the music of the steppe Turkic peoples is a lot closer to European medieval/folk music 😅

The lyrics are so gloomy here; (After many edits and with the help of ChatGPT it just looks like a poem now in English as well 😅) Lyrics from the original poem(creative translation): (Bu ne sevgi ah, bu ne ızdırap - 1946): Oh, what love is this, what agony My poor heart lies in ruin, a silent symphony May I be graced with a sip of wine divine To drink from the chalice held by hands of thine Take this goblet, let not tears it fill Guard my heart, shield it from despair's ill will Before the sun's farewell paints the window's pane Bring sweet nectar from lips that tenderly reign In pitch-black silk, my fortune entwined With moist eyes, I implored the rose so kind If distance holds me in its somber embrace Swiftly send greetings with the dawn wind's grace
