Turkish Town Tour: Perfectly Safe & A Must Visit!

Tonight we took a cab to the nearest town which is Altinkum in Didum, Turkey. It was arranged with a guy who works in the hotel who owns a restaurant there. We had a hour to look around the beautiful town and get to feel some Turkish culture. Then a wonderful meal and lots of fun to finish the night off.

Apparently the waste pipe for sewage/ toilet is of a smaller gauge & that's why you dont flush bog roll & if you block it you will /can be charged for the plumbers fee, its the same in Greece . Altinkum is brilliant, stayed there years ago, can't remember the name of the Hotel , but it looks like a big cruise ship on top of a hill .the Turkish bread is incredible.

This Holiday vlog is brilliant plenty of shops to look around but that food looked really nice. Wow and the portion sizes are enough for two and the flame under the dish to keep it hot that's a great idea.

The food did look good & huge portions😋 Have you never been somewhere where they have the food warming trays? They have nightlight type candles in them & keep the food warm just the same as the flame ones. Lots of restaurants use them nowadays. 🙂

Just wanted to say i am enjoying the Turkish holiday and i do like the thumbnails. The only problem i am having with the thumbnails though is i can` t see if i have watched the video or not from the playlist because you have red at the bottom of the thumbnail. Normally it shows me my progress through a video with a red line which i can`t see now.

Someone I worked with has an apartment in Altinkum (I think that's how it's spelt) and goes several times especially a year and rents it out for the rest. They love it there. The food looked fantastic. £100 for 4 with transport and drinks is a bit of a bargain too!

Got to disagree the fake clothes are fantastic quality my daughter brings her dad polos every year from there and they wash fantastic . Turkish cotton is the best in the world . Hope you have a an amazing time.

You will find in the shops that they have good and bad and you can feel the quality between them both. We go to hisaronu in turkey every year, and my husband and daughter buy loads of stuff. Women's clothes aren't as good can be old fashioned. But we always come back with loads of trainers and sports wear. The better quality does wash brilliant as well. No toilet paper in the loos as the drains can't cope with the toilet paper. Years ago 28 years at least that's how long we have been going to Turkey. They had notes in money that had a say a 5then would have 6 zeros at the end. So looked like this 1000000, 250000 etc. But they changed it to the money now. Xx

Love the video!. Dogs with yellow tags on one ear, are publicly owned, everybody treats them well, and feeds them, and care for their health, even the ones without the tags are treated well. People in Türkiye are lovely. You are right though, carrying Turkish Lira around, can be a bit of a challenge. Have a fab holiday..

I’m not sure if they do feed the dogs or cats tbh or if they are nice to them, there might be a few that do feed them though like when you were in Cyprus, I saw a dog injured in Turkey and a guy was kicking it away from a shop whilst its broken leg was danglling and it was limping

In Germany the highest banknote is only 200 euros. There are no longer 500 euro notes. The reason in Turkey is probably that the currency has fallen from 1:2 to 1:34 in 3 years. Maybe things will go the other way again, they probably still believe. You are there in a holiday village. That's clear, right? This is only 1 of 100 ways of life of the over 62 ethnic groups. And always safe... 🙂
