Turn any top into a dress | Adding a simple gathered skirt

During Me Made May I realised I haven't been wearing one of the button up tops I've made all that much. I also don't have many dresses I can wear at the moment as I'm currently breastfeeding.
Follow along with me as I add a simple gathered skirt to the Norma Blouse (www.fibremood....) to turn it into a dress I will get much more wear out of. A great way to get more out of my me-made wardrobe.

That dress looks good on you. Your dress looks cool, comfortable, perfect for the job you made it for, and perfect for just about everything you do. I like the fact that you did not cut off the bottom of your shirt until you were happy with the fit. That is a wonderful idea. I made myself button down the front, shirtwaist dresses when I was nursing my last child (almost 49 years ago). Those loose dresses were very comfortable during the hot summer (in Memphis, TN); and, it was easy to take the dresses in as I lost weight. Don't be surprised when other women ask you where you bought that dress. Most women today are sick of the uncomfortable, tight fitting, hot, fast fashions being sold in the stores today.
