I would still argue that philosophy still plays a strong role in science today, not just for the “hows”, but for the “whys”. Many may dismiss that, but nonetheless its still necessary to know for discoveries on how the world works.

I am so grateful for this video! I was looking to explain how real alchemy works to my son after watching the original Full Metal Alchemist, my childhood favorite, with him. This video is extremely informative and is easy for a 10 year old to understand. Thank you!!

I'm wondering... if we have the power to separate and combine atoms... what's stopping us from legit putting more electrons/protons/neutrons into say, helium, and forcing it to be "gold" or uranium, etc?
@Squirreled_Studio
@Squirreled_Studio 4 жыл бұрын
Exactly, you cold theoretically turn any element into any other element. Although you’d want to probably use an element closer to gold so you have less elections, protons, and neurons to add.

Money. You cannot destroy or create matter, only "rearrange" it. For every action there is an "equal" and "opposite" reaction. Utilizing our current technology and understanding of our physical reality, it would cost more to do this than the gold we'd create would be worth

That would lower the price of precious metals because its readily available and basically make money worthless because its backed by precious metals

I am curious and I know it's a bit above the scope of what was covered in the video. But, I want to know if you would consider this intentional transmutation. The intentional raising of natural Thorium's (232) atomic mass to 233 in a fast breeder reactor by the addition of a captured neutron; which quickly causes the Th233 to Beta decay into Protactinium-233, changing a neutron into a proton + beta particle; and then this beta decays again quickly into Uranium-233 which we can use as a nuclear fuel. It's a cycle found in nature, but we trigger it deliberately by blasting Thorium with loads of neutrons; so I feel like it is transmutation but is debatable about how deliberate and controlled by us it is.
@Squirreled_Studio
@Squirreled_Studio 4 жыл бұрын
I feel like this is a deliberate transmutation from people because it gets the ball rolling for other transmutations to occur. It’d be like mixing two chemicals together to cause a naturally occurring chemical reaction, the reaction happens on its own, but it’s still intentionally started by people.

In theory yes, but the new atom would be too unstable to exist and would break down before we could observe it.

This is the experiment that I'm wanting to try and that I'm prepping for right now Using modern science and fusion to fuse tin and copper into gold isotope 104 I need to stabilize the isotope with 14 neutrons because fusing copper and gold gives you 79 electrons 79 protons only a 104 neutrons which means stabilizing it with 14 neutrons should give us a nice stable 118 isotope if I'm successful with this experiment this could be extremely important for the technological production industry as expensive gold is used in many of their processes for making solid state chips ultimately lowering the cost for future technology in theory this should work with tungsten and Boron and stabilizing it with an extra 13 neutrons

Clue Number 1 chryso-whatever... Its Greek, not the oldest language by far. 2. Metaphysically, beyond the sphere of 3 dimensions thru the field of seven senses. 3. Alchemy is eldritch, therefore a fuller "Corpus" of sciences. We copied from elder scrolls, didn t surpass them. This is the age of clay and iron, not the Original SATYA YUGA =TH3 GOLDEN AGE knowledge is scattered not gathered... Magically, I can turn myself into a golden statue and let peoples offerings go to high heaven, who knows...

Theres platinum lined wells which used to run gynormous amounts of energy and the electric eels helped facilitate this process ( or were mutated by it ), so now there's these lovely wells in desolate south pacific islands, say, north from the Marshall islands, truk, you know all the fascinating alchemy got re-packaged... They can practice alchemical science and be considered God's, till the real ones show up

Wrong they did in fact add gold to part of there process it was to finally fix the end result one could then to as well do part of the process over again to make the stone even stronger an most of all its not the gold they sought but the energy that binds it all together explain where that energy comes an why

It's simple... just reduce things to their basic building parts like protons and neutrons and then put these Universal building Blocks together assembled to form whatever Element you want. If technology were that advanced we could just Change the basic molecular structure of everything around us with our sheer minds, we could create Gold out of dust particles, a palace made out of the molecules of Sand, it would be like magic because it would be so complex and fine that you couldnt even see the components of that technology with your bare eyes, im sure at some point we will also be able to fuse organic Material with technology in a way that will allow for example a Body that can repear any damage almost instantly, a Brain with such high Capacity that it could hold even a Mind thats allready hundreds of Years old without suffering neurologic damage.... basicly if we were to make it throgh the next few hundred Years we could upgrade ourselves to literal Gods.
