Neat. If you typically switch into the scenes layout after selecting a new preset, I would suggest looking into the "layout links" feature. You can configure it to automatically switch from layout 1 into layout 2 after performing the main Tap action.

This is great. Thanks so much. I got a Rockstock two button switch but I’ve tried all programming options and it won’t perform the HOLD function so essentially it’s two single switches. Still nice, but not as good as having two more fm3 switches. If I’m understanding this correctly, you are able to use the two buttons and each and you can also perform the HOLD function with each on the Boss? So really each of the switches on the Boss are the same as the onboard FM3 switches? If so I’ll definitely buy the Boss. Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply, I was dong some studio work and could not check my messages. But yes, you are right. The Boss FS7 switches can be assigned as 'latching' or 'switching', hence the price. I think the Rockstock you have only does switching. The only negative thing about the Boss FS6 is it that it needs a battery. Hope that clarifies that? All the best!

Or is it just that you assigned the tap function and the hold automatially works? If there is some other setting can you share what it was? Thanks again for the video🙏 p.s. I'm also a bit confused since you have used the FS-6 and mentioned FS-7 here. I'm sure its a typo

@@shuvodipghosh Thanks for your comment. About that hold: I'm sorry, must've forgotten to mention. If you look at the screen at this moment in the video (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qGi6aGePfZpkfNEsi=92U7cLFRN20m2Qng&t=664), 11:04, you can read the settings for the Hold function. You see on the left side it says 'TAP', on the right it says 'HOLD', just copy the setting from the Hold function (Category: Bank - Function:Inc/dec, etc) and it's done. I'm using a Boss FS-6 indeed. The FS-7 would work as well, and this one doesn't require a 9v power supply if you don't mind the fact that there is no light indicating what you've done. I prefer the FS-6 but I wish they would've included the option to power it from an adaptor...batteries always die on me when I have no spare at hand :)

Hey Peter, thanks! Sorry, maar ik heb hier geen nota's van. Ik heb de info bijeengesprokkeld uit de manual en andere video's. De Fractal architectuur is solide, maar door zijn 'openheid' ook erg archaïsch. Ik moet toegeven dat de handleiding me het meest heeft geholpen, wat betekent dat ik deze niet goed had gelezen in het begin...zo gaat dat. Ik heb net de tone packs gekocht van AustinBuddy (Gold 1000+) en hij legt in zijn video's heel wat details uit. Hij vliegt er redelijk snel doorheen, maar als je de handleiding wat hebt gelezen kan je volgen. Daar heb ik ondertussen ook enorm van geleerd en...die Gold1000+ is echt een aanrader, elke amp wordt tot in de laatste details uitgepuurd. Succes alvast!
