I am heating the garage instead of using aquarium heaters for each tank individually for those few cold days in winter otherwise the sun keeps my garage warm enough

Disagree about snails. I've watched the tiny little zigzags they eat into algae . Not worth it concidering how much they poop. Unless it is a planted tank. Keep one of those disposable kitchen cloths that come on a roll for wiping algae off the glass

I'm more of a lazier person so I hate scrubbing and wiping algae off the sides of my aquariums. Since my tanks are bare bottom, It's just way easier for me to vacuum their poop while they keep my glass clean. They've so far solved most of my algae problems in my smaller tanks.

@@JoZaneHaysSerama I'm the king of lazy. I leave wiping for when I do water changes, this way a lot of the loosened stuff goes out with the water.
