What a great idea to have a tribute to Debbie Reynolds. I always thought she wasn't celebrate/recognized enough upon her death; perhaps because of the close circumstances with her daughter. Your grandma was a great actress, for which she never got credit. I think it's because of all the tabloid crap she endured. For example, a movie she did with Albert Brooks, "Mother" was kind of dumb, but Debbie made the movie worth seeing. On one hand, she played it for pure comedy. "Protective ice" has become a catchword in my family ever since. I almost pissed my pants during that scene, because of Debbie's timing and delivery. I hadn't laughed so hard since Carol Burnett walked onto stage in a curtain rod. But later in the movie when her son finds her writing, she made me cry. Your mom was no slouch either, but you've got quite a legacy to live up to.
