Been rocking Turnigy and FRSKY for the vast majority of my planes. Nice collaboration.

good to see we can use the older FRSKY receivers with this radio , When my Taranis gives up this would defiantly be a contender for a replacement , Form factor looks good also 👍👍Cheers Stewart

Can you switch between mode 1 and 2

like on all programmable radios... it is always possible. You probably have to open radio to fix it but the system ethos is ready to wich mode you want.

When is the new AVIOS 1.6m Twin Otter presale happening?

I was waiting for you to tell us it is dual frequency but I either missed it or it wasn't mentioned. Talking reliability, I haven't had an issue with Spektrum and all of my giant scale planes are on Spektrum. As an older fella having been in this hobby since Ace was the go to system I find it difficult to consider changing when I am not having any issues at all. I like the FR Sky but.......

Huge down side. Not opensource. Not much opensource supportive when it come to multi module. So 4-1 module with this maybe compatible at some protocol but also would not WILL NOT DO. Will not pass the telemetry to the radio from you're receiver. Telemetry does not work on Frsky. based radio with 4-1. So..... This isn't no huge eye opening. They are very good. But Radio Master with their Gemini omg what a orgasm. Even the Radio Master GX12 dual band. Either way if I have a choice any brand of radio it will be. Rm.

As a user of both systems what you have said is not correct, 4 in 1 telemetry does work on ethos, and all protocols are available. Ethos might not be open source, but in many ways the integration of LUAS and handling of things like expresslrs is better than in edgetx. The update and management process of radios through Ethos suit is far better. On top of this as a fixed wing pilot Ethos is far easier to program, because FrSky have developed tools to make the pilots life easier (edgetx developers could learn a lot here). Gemini is cool but it’s not a deal breaker, as even the capabilities of standard expresslrs are far more than most users will ever need and is confusing for a lot of people to get their head round. The FrSky protocols while not flashy are well tested, reliable and more than enough enough range for most pilots.
