With the recent NX+ and iX+ firmware update, the Spektrum NX and iX radios have been given many added features, including a significant increase in the number of programmable channels for many of the NX transmitters and iX14! We understand that with this update, there is a lot to learn and understand the differences between the air transmitters, especially for someone new to the Spektrum ecosystem or radio control. This video is to help RC pilots learn the differences between the NX7e+, NX8, and NX10 in order to help them decide on their first "entry level" Spektrum transmitter. I have an old DX9 Gen 1 and it has also been faultless. Manufacturing electronic component quality was pretty good back then. If only it could forward program or there was a forward programming device you could purchase separately.

I've had two NX-8s. The WIFI didn't work reliably on either. I sent the first back over WIFI issues, the 2nd had the same problem and I was told the WIFI is very picky and doesn't work if it can "See" more than 7 networks which might be the problem. Unreliable WIFI with the NX-8 is a very common problem so don't count on the WIFI. That being said I've really enjoyed my NX-8 other than the WIFI not working and updates are very easy to do via SD card. Also Spektrum, if you are going to bother with putting out a + version, change that USB port to USB C and fix the WIFI!

Was thinking to get an NX8 but that does make me a little nervous though an SD card would still do the job. Still false advertising if a feature doesn’t work in the real world.

@andrev5207 The NX-8 is a great radio. If your going to use Spektrum you can't go wrong with an NX8. If I were to do it again I might go with an NX10 to get the sliders on the back but they aren't really necessary.

Just picked up the NX7e+ and for me as a night flyer pilot, the extra glow from the transmitter is a issue. I did solve the issue by creating a custom 1/4" wide black decal that I placed over the rope LEDs and now I am happy with the transmitter and even more so when night flying.

Sounds like you chose poorly for what your intended use was

@@mc20piece Horizon tech said my DX18 would not do Forward Programming. So I ordered a radio that would. Not having seen the transmitter, I had no clue how bright the rope lighting is. Too bad it can't be dimmed or turned OFF using the software. With the install of the decals I created the transmitter is perfect now. Been in the hobby over 45 years and seen a lot of progress when it comes to radios.

"I own an NX8 device. Its yaw component malfunctioned, and I submitted it for repair three months ago. As of yet, I have not received it back. Spektrum seems more focused on product sales than attending to customer warranty claims." "I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of communication and the length of time it has taken to resolve this issue.

HH/Spektrum customer service is going down the toilet. They have made it next to impossible to contact anyone on your, the customer’s, time schedule. Instead, they want to contact you when it’s optimal for them, not taking into consideration that their schedule is not always feasible for the people who buy their products. They have forgotten where their paychecks actually come from. #ChangeMyMind For example, it has been two months and I still haven’t received a reply from a gal on their team about some questions I had. She replied once or twice, I asked my questions, then NOTHING! I finally had to waste several hours of my time trying to find the answers elsewhere.

welcome to horizon hobby customer service. They don't care about it. I have had multiple issues with them

For the price being asked, all NX8’s should have hall effect gimbals. I hear of potentiometer failures all the time on transmitters even on day zero. An NX8 is not cheap.

I have the NX 10, the throttle is sticky and the levers do not center in the center. very disappointing
@andrev52078 күн бұрын
Yeah, sorry to hear that. That is not really acceptable for the price. I would definitely exercise all your power as a consumer and RMA.

i have a nx6 and i want to transfer audio from my pc to the nx6 but i dont know where to find it and how to do it?

Im thinking about buying the DX6E, can you tell me if this transmitter will give me 100% full functions of the turbo timber evo, including flaps, safe and throttle reverse without compromising anything like sharing a channel or safe will only work when flaps are down. I also hear that safe can be programed without using a channel. I like the NX8+ but its a bit more money. Please help. Tnx

You need to dump the entire lineup except for like four air transmitters. Too much overlap, low quality and too expensive. I’m guessing by the recent channel unlocks someone is seeing light over there with the influx of low cost transmitter options on the market with a higher feature set. Up the quality, lose some of the overlap. Sell us the transmitter upgrades for god sake…. let me buy the various stick end sizes. Way too much of a closed system too…. let me pull in telemetry into your fbl from other esc’s… Some of us WANT to give you guys business but we can’t. You make it too hard.
@AbdullahNajib-b9z2 ай бұрын
they have more channels.i mean most transmitters tend to have like 24 channels but their receivers only support 18.spektrum supports 20 ,and their receivers support 20.i dont care about features.i only want channels.but i do think that there should be just one series(the ix should be dumped)

@@Kbeezzy23 When a flagship transmitter from another brand is better quality, has more channels, more features, double and triple bands, receivers cost 1/3 and programming is easy and intuitive and costs half of the Spektrum IX20SE that's a problem. When the entry level transmitter does pretty much all of what the flagship does and is $275, that's a really big problem. Spektrum is just too overpriced on the TX side. A 10 channel double gyro receiver that is close to Aura or Smoothflite performance I can at least see the value.
@scottyd035ntknowАй бұрын
This. The only reason to buy Spektrum at this point is AS3X+. And that's a very valid reason. Except you can forward program on the TX16S or fly a BNF box stock AS3X+ settings with anything with a MPM. So like... the only thing worth buying is the receivers because I will give you $150 for a 10 channel receiver with fully built in telemetry ports and two gyros is more than fair.
@andrev52079 күн бұрын
Transmitter should be a purchase to last up to 10 years. With the recent ASX3+ roll out and forward programming this is possible. My guess is an NX transmitter is not much more costly to produce as an DX so the price gap is not really justified. The DX no longer makes sense as the internal hardware is not different enough to an NX and the feature set is too low that it cheapens the brand.
