Yep, salted. Started going up there in the 70s. Only very few were not salted even then. If you are in a gem zone you tend to get one type of gem. Your mix would be from alluvial deposits if genuine. You have top soil with the salt. Gem zones in that area tend to be grayish.

Yes, this is a roadside tourist trap, there are like 10 in North Carolina. Even Emerald Hollow salts the creek. Just testing their salted buckets for fun.

Put the black light on them. Stones from that area light up bright pink red. (Saphire)

Yes, rubies light up different shades of pink all over the world. I like the ones in Burma.

10:23 You are polishing on dry lap, it will not give good results..

I was just taking the skin off to see how transparent the garnets were inside. No polish, just 180 grit. This is low grade garnet. We can pick it up for free by the pound in the creeks of North Carolina.

You need to learn a bit more about this industry. I have been in it for a long time and I promise you, you are lucky to get 300$ for what you found which is highly unlikely and could take 3 years to sell your very low quality specimens. Nothing you have is gem grade. The cleanest piece is the quartz, which you weren't even sure it was quartz. They are clearly seeding and salting these bags. Either way, educate yourself on what you are actually doing or else people who are in this industry will think you are stupid.

I hope they think I am stupid. These are just filler videos and tests until the channel is monetized. Looks like this one worked. When the Thailand and Sri Lanka videos are published, the joke will be over. Just Shock and Awe and a huge disruption to the gem industry as we cut out a few steps between the mines and retain customers. 80% of gems go through the Thailand market, the education is coming for everyone.

You saw me drive into Old Cardinal Mine, Franklin, NC. Ebay is mostly fake gems? In Thailand right now. The Videos will show you the light and the path.
@naturalsettings70983 ай бұрын
lol. None of that will result in $5k. ALL those gems come from South America or Asia. Zero of those are from NC. And they’re ALL below faceted grade. You could cab or tumble em. No way you’d get even close to $5k. Consult a lapidary pro.

All Amethyst is worthless until faceted. Are you saying Hiddenite, NC doesn't have emeralds? Because they have some big ones in the Smithsonian National Museum. There is a you dig Amethyst spot in North Carolina, video coming. I can get you those exact Garnets out of several creeks in NC, videos coming. Are you going to deny the tourmaline deposits as well. Do some Google searches. How about the next video is turn $1000 into $25000 in the Chantibury Thailand Gem Market.
