Love your plain, simple personality and attitude. Love the goofy laugh. So fresh and positive.

I've been wanting to do a chip & dip. Thanks for demonstration.

It’s just about Christmas again and I know why I am getting from my wife! It’s a lathe! I kinda bought it myself though 😂 But I’m getting more exited for it every time I watch your lathe videos! U should do more of them!!!

I do a live show every Monday night where I turn something probably 3/4 of the time and will definitely be doing more edited turning videos in 2023 than I did this year.

Turned out pretty good Mike. You just inspired me to try to make one on my leg. Merry Christmas!

My Lathe not my leg lol.

Hey, I'm not gonna tell you how to live your life. You wanna make a bowl on your leg, you go ahead. Sounds a bit sketchy in terms of safety, but I'm certainly not one to judge on that front, either.

Nicely done...love the chip and dip bowl. You should turn a couple of wood and epoxy whiskey glasses for your scotch.

I totally should. Good call.

👍It didn't explode!! Why the star bound in the fridge??
@WoodenThingsAndStuff3 жыл бұрын
Makes it last longer. Not that it would probably matter, because it would probably last long enough if left out, but no reason not to keep it there since I actually can.

Little late to the show I know but I’ve never turned a bowl. Wouldn’t a scraper/carbide get past the crack safer than a gouge?
@WoodenThingsAndStuff Жыл бұрын
Hmmmmm.....I dunno. I think the right answer is probably "your sharpest tool" and spinning fast, but cutting slow.
@LavinWoodworks2 жыл бұрын
Do you get a lot of tear out with that round carbide hollower?
@WoodenThingsAndStuff2 жыл бұрын
Nope. It's actually kinda surprising how clean it cuts. Sometimes I get a little bit on end grain sections if I'm pushing it harder into the wood than I should be, but certainly no worse than a gouge that could use a sharpening.

why... is your glue... in the fridge? you guys are so backwards 😂
@WoodenThingsAndStuff3 жыл бұрын
CA glue lasts longer if it's refrigerated. Also, it's a super convenient place to keep it, since I have a super convenient fridge in my shop.
