So cute how she just started harshly criticizing your version
@durjam3734 Жыл бұрын
even more funny that it was actually fair criticism! like if you look at hers, it's clearly doing a 'Naruto run' sorta pose, which she accurately described was not on his version!

This is genuinely beautiful in concept and execution. Several weeks ago I was given a 3 year old's drawing of our dog. Our neighbor's kid and her are forming a secret friendship through the fence between our yards. I had to quietly ask his mom who it was a picture of, and my heart melted when she whispered back, "it's Molly." I put it on the fridge with our dog photos, took a pic and texted it to the neighbors. It's still there, and I smile every time I see it. He really nailed her floppy ears, and you really nailed those teeth!

There's a terrific old Mad magazine article from the '60s that turns kids' drawings of what they want for Xmas into actual toys, which are rendered in perfect, wanky detail exactly as the "kids" drew them.

This reminds me of the Face Off (monster makeup) tv show. In certain episodes, the challenge for the artists would be to bring to life, through makeup and costuming of an actor, a child's drawing. They'd have to balance feasability, objective artistic quality, and client demand. Those were some of the better episodes of an already good series, though judging was difficult. (In general, the judges were one of the best assets to the show, as was the lack of aggresive competition and the extant collaborative spirit of the contestants. (Reality tv without the catty drama.))

Like always great video. One of the most important subtle things you said was you play around with the blend modes to find which one looks best. It's important to know even the Pros don't automatically know what works its a lot of trial and error. Thanks Marco and thanks to your daughter for another great video idea.

Not sure how active you are in the comments,. but I was wondering how you feel about AI art, and how it seems to be taking jobs away from real artists. I am interested in learning to draw but I feel like there is no point since AI in a few years will be able to instantly do whatever art anybody wants.

Enjoyed your video! In character design, tools like Stylar AI are invaluable. This designer-friendly AI tool allows for precise AI model control and image production. It's in its infancy and a little buggy, but I strongly suggest checking it out.
