I'm doing this as well right now with a 6s and the case fit PERFECTLY. No room to move up or down forward or backwards and it's right where the stem needs to be. Congrats. That's a good feeling when the project works out. The change into a wrist watch for me is going easier with a 12s pocket watch because the stem pull out and click/detent is done in the watch. With a 6s pocket watch you will need a "pocket watch sleeve" for the wrist watch case you bought. And with your project don't ever get a lever set pocket watch for a project like this. Always pendant set. And avoid open face pocket watch movements. Contact me though. You're on the right track.

From what I understand this movement went to a huntsman case which had the crown at the 3:00 position and it was a much smaller watch

Pocket watch database has the mm measurements. But you're basically going to want if you're like me, full on DIY. Drill out and maybe tap and die a spot for a pocket watch sleeve. That will allow basically an antique movement to be used with an antique stem in a modern wrist watch case.

@@hillbillyluxury2691 I forgot to mention that the 12s size 12 pocket watches are going to be much easier because the stem detent push/pull is done in the watch itself and not dependant on the case around the movement.

Great idea. Congrats. Frett & Co. Clockworks does these conversions, but they are often gigantic--like 50mm.

I haven't completed it yet but it is on my short list of things I need to do! I tried to get a local watchmaker to work on it but he didn't want to mess with it 😞 I'm going to try to source another

Great mod you’ve got there! I’m with you on the onion crown, that’ll set it off just right I think. You ought to see if your watchmaker would do some brushing on that case to take some of the luster on the polished sides down. I think I would just do the sides & lugs brushed and leave the polished bezel. Good luck getting that movement serviced, hopefully no surprises there.

I see you don't have part 2. the case need some modification and the biggest headache modification is the stem. American pocket watch has negative stem, you will have to find way to keep the stem so it doesn't fall out.
