I bought this just recently and installed the black blade and cut down some small trees and branches. I love it. Its a beast. I was just wondering if I could use the other blade to edge my lawn?

i dont even have a trimmer or plan on doing this but man id love to have one just to cut a bunch of sht lol xD But id make sure to check that connection once in a while cause i doubt its rated to spin that big blade lol you never know it might turn into a frisbee at some point :p

Yes sir a lock nut would help but definitely check it for tightness regularly
